I started this game a couple days ago. I play on the SCHTHACK server. Also, today, I beat the boss (Dragon) of the Forest section in Phantasy Star Online I in single player mode on normal. Lastly, I am currently at Level 5 and I am a HUmar. Anyway, who else here played this game?

Since the Dreamcast days, I've played PSO. It was my first ever online game and I love it to bits. Unfortunately, my comp's not available to me, so I can't play it on my comp.
When I started off playing PSO, the HUcast caught my attention. Since then, I've stuck with maining the HUcast class.
Here's how he pretty much looks like within every time I started up a new form of PSO:

Ah, PSO… I remember back in the day when I had a level 147 HuCast and then my save data got corrupted. I ended up recreating the character and hacking him up to level 200 because I didn't feel like wasting all those hours again. I got all of my equipment legitimately though (Black King Bar, Tsumikiri J-Sword (I killed my 20,000 monsters without unequipping it, screw you, I'm hacking it in), Electro Frame, that kind of stuff) or through my friend, who probably didn't get it legitimately...
Just picked it back up, got a level 40 HuMar

why don't you make that a generally PS-Thread? i'm playing Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of the Illluminus, atm. and it's really great. played BlueBurst before too. awesome game

PSU was a real let down when it came out. I tried it for a bit, and it just feels so incredibly… bad.
PSO is a game I am drawn to inexplicably. It's really a terrible game, with too much grinding and repetition. BUT! Alas, I have a level 97 character on a Gamecube card somewhere (offline...), and a level 40ish character on PSOBB (Shcthack of course).
Haven't played much lately, though, and just got a mac, so I can't play it on my main OS any more.

I've been playing PSO since the Dreamcast, I always get re-addicted to it. I played on Schthack until recently when I decided to quit. I got a level 180 FOmar on Schthack's server.

I second that notion.
I bought PSU when it first came out, expecting it to be PSO x100. Instead, I got a game claiming to be Phantasy Star that was trying to be a real-time MMO. The only redeeming quality is that the character creation and dress ups is quite kick ass. That's about it.
