Hellsing Gets the Live Action Treatment (4/9/08)

Live Action Anime has received conformation that a Live Action Hellsing is being made.

Unfortunately we aren’t able to say anything else about the movie at this time.

You can bet that we won't be hearing anything else about it for a few months as it seems this trailer wasn't meant to be seen. We will keep you posted as more information is revealed though, so in the meantime, discuss the big news over on our Forums.

As long as I see Alucard shooting vampires, I'll be somewhat happy. If Integra or Victoria is killed, I will immensly pissed off. This better not turn into Van Helsing!

The only real way for this to work is if Alucard is basically a complete CG character like Ryuk was in the Death Note live Action. The one pivotal scene that must exist, besides the scene where Alucard saves Seras, is when the Valentine brothers attack the Hellsing mansion. And with this scene Alucard changes so dramatically that he has to be a cg character. just give Seras some red contacts and she is good.

Well, this is unexpected. But I'm with Greg on this one. The Blade series will probably hurt the chances of this. Not to mention due to controversy the entire Nazi story will probably be changed or dropped.

If Nazi's weren't dropped out of Schindler's List,Saving Private Ryan,The Indiana Jones movies & Hellboy I really don't see how they would even think of doing that.

The first one was quite boring, the best part about it was the final fight with Frost. The second had just so much more action, and Ron Perlman.

Good question that I honestly can't answer, but even with that I don't think that there's an overwhelming majority out there in the world who thinks like that especially when you have people out there who will criticize a movie which despite having good action sequences, might have what they deem to be a somewhat sloppy story with iffy pacing I'm not including myself of course.

Then plz explain this to me. How do propose him to walk through walls? Transform into super Alucard? Grow those several limbs and dog heads, even if you just take the battle with Incognito into effect, he still has to be CG to do that fight. I still want him to be voice by Crispin Freeman, he does such a good job as Alucard.

If this is gonna be an American film, then Alucard will be voiced by the actor who's playing him, not Crispin Freeman. If it's a Japanese film, we may get a dub, but usually they just subtitle.

I meant he doesn't have to always be in CGI like Ryuk was in the Death Note movies, also they can have him walk threw walls I believe without making him CGI.

Every foreign live action movie I've seen has come complete with a crappy dub.

It's always strange watching dubbed Jackie Chan movies when the english dub is someone other then Jackie Chan himself.. (which happens a lot)
