One Piece: Digitally Remassacred

Hey, guys. I've been wanting to do an Abridged-esque series of videos to parody One Piece for awhile. I am currently writing scripts for Season 1, but I am looking for someone interested in maintaining quality control, since my "humor" tends to sometimes go sour, so anyone who is looking to help me with writing jokes and fixing unfunny ones would be great. I am also looking for high-quality RAWs for the first 47 episodes. I appreciate it if someone wants to team up with me in this venture. I myself will take a backseat when it comes to voice work, so I will also be looking for voice actors for the first Season, but that will be a ways into the future. :)

I do a lot of acting in theatre and I've written comedy scripts for community shows before, so I may be able to help you put this together. If you need an editor/writer, I'm here for ya. ^_^

I can help with voices as well, if you like. I've got a few character voices I can do (low, high, accented, annoying, the list goes on), and I have this friend who does the best 4kids dub Bon Clay impression I ever heard. It's dead-on, and really funny.

Anyway, tell me if you want any help. This sounds like a great project.

@Kaizoku: Just try speaking actual lines from the show and choosing characters you might like to play. If you do low voices, give Alvida a shot. ;) I wanna cast her with a male actor for lulz.

Hey, I've got a question about the script. What's your target audience? Like, age range and whatnot. Just so I know how appropriate jokes are and stuff. I don't want to be too obscene or too boring.

Sorry I have to upload the script onto the internet, since it's too long to PM to you directly. And as for the target audience, probably the 14-to-mid-20's anime watcher and video gamer. Since I'm on a friend's computer and can't access the scripts, the only blatant anime/game references I can think of are Bleach and Sonic the Hedgehog. I'll try to get the script to you tonight or tomorrow, though. :)

EDIT: Do you have Skype? We could probably test out voices much easier and quicker with that.

@Peal: I don't have Skype, no. I myself will only do Narrator and Extras, and MAYBE Sanji, but likely not. I'd have to do my recording and editting on two different computers, so I'll be limitting (sp?) my own voice roles. Also, on a more embarassing note, I've got a lisp, and it really is noticeable, so I don't like to record. -- However, I DO want to put my ideas in motion. It's a double edged sword. --

Also, how would you want voice acting auditions to go? Just make up something for characters we think we can do, or can we have a little script selection for each character to read? I've always wanted to try and get into voice acting, but never had a chance to…

Other than that, I am about to check out Prince's audition, and I will actually focus on auditions especially after I get most of the season written up, but I'm very ecstatic about this project. Super Puppy and I have written up a VERY solid Episode 1 script, so I hope you guys like it when it's released. :D

Do you want it to be hahah? I actually did that voice for sanji before hearing Sanji in the dub Imagine my surprise when I came across the dub and was like 0-0

But that doesnt say much what you think of my audition just that you think I sound like eric vale

If I could have a few sample lines of characters you've written dialogue for, that would be great. I think I might get better results if I try to match lines to the animation without hearing the original voices, and I kind of need to listen to the show to get lines from it, heh heh heh…

I know I want to try to get Buggy's voice, but what with the pitch changing and the yelling I'm hesitant to disturb my suitemates/anyone else in the dorms... ^_^;

Well, Super Puppy is currently my second-in-command, but I can let you check out what I have, and where things can be improved. After all, two heads are better than one. And three heads kick two heads' ass.

Sorry for the double post, but since it appears that Super Puppy's been MIA for two and a half months, I am searching for someone interested in helping with editting the scripts. I have scripts for the first three episodes (which comprise episodes 1-5) written, but I am looking for someone to help with making them "better", especially Episode 3. :) I'm writing Episode 4 as we speak :3

I'd be glad to review them for you, but you should probably get more than one person to read over you scripts, collaberation always helps with making jokes and a story.
