IPod headphone recommendations

Okay, so I'm looking at purchasing my THIRD set of earbuds for the past couple of weeks. Not happy about this.

So basically the set I had been using for months and months met their unfortunate end after my iPod fell out of my shirt and I stepped on the Apple brand earbuds, so I purchased the JVC gummy ones as a quick, easy, and cheap fix.

The earbuds fall on the ground - I don't recall if the iPod went with them this time - and then those ones break. So bought a second pair.

Just now the act of trying to untangle the damn thing caused the grey plastic over the speaker to fall off and break and now the sound is a bit off balance so I'm looking at purchasing a third pair of earbuds soon.

Needless to say I don't want to buy more earbuds after this one.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for reasonable durable, comfortable, and decent-sound-quality-producing headphones for the iPod? I am on a budget so I don't want to buy $100 dollar headphones.

I had the same problem. Every pair of headphones will break if your really excessive with the ipod like me. I've broken about 6 pair of headphones the past 4 months. I just got tired of it and bought some Bose. I think you should do the same

I got some Sony pair that was cheap ($20) and fit around my neck. Problem was, the wire was too long, so it kept getting caught and breaking the thing. I'm pretty short though, so the wire didn't get very far before going slack, so that may have been my problem.

Sanctum

Get some earbuds that loop behind your ears and enter the ear from the top.
Those will help ensure that they won't come out, unless you want them to come out.
Great stuff if you like to move around a lot or work and such when listening to your music.
