Hello everybody. I just want to know your opinion to a question that i had through the whole Thriller Bark Arc.
Do you think Gecko Moria is a child? I know this question seems to be slight pathetic but i am a big fan of Moria and TB.. It is just a question. So, what do you think about it?

God no. I've always pictured him being in his mid 40s… and he's not simple minded either...
He's always seemed very intelligent and crafty whenever I've seen him? I doubt a child could set up an entire system such as Thriller Bark. I mean, look at all the tiny details that go into creating it.

I thought he was childish because of his carefree attitude. But maybe I'm trying too hard to explain my point.
I certainly never thought of this when Moria came to mind. The only childish thing I can think of is that he's lazy. Other than that, I don't see it. He doesn't wine, he's excessively cruel when fighting(I suppose you can link kids to this-like killing insects), he has strong feelings about his crew and has a goal.
I barely see how you got him being a child but simple minded?
Moria is like Luffy in some ways-he is also well…lightminded and carefree.It's hard to make him show his anger with simple things.And he is crafty:ninja:.But he is nowhere to be childish-he just knows a simple truth.You will get time to be serious,as for know-relax.:happy:

He has a very childish way of dealing with losing his crew, I suppose. So I guess that makes him rather emotionally immature.

If anything his point of view is pretty realistic. He knows his limits and, despite being a lazy bastard, spent years preparing himself to go back to the sea where he lost all he had worked so hard to get in his first attempt of becoming the Pirate King.
In all seriousness, I would say he's more mature than Crocodile.
But of course, who wants to be "serious" and boring 24/7. Moria like any other person needs a break. Acting childish, being surrounded by toys while taking naps, and getting all excited over stuff like new additions to his army it's just a way for him to get rid of all the stress.
Or maybe, you know, Oda didn't want to just plaster drama on Moria. He had to make him attractive to his target audience.

Alright, alright. I see, my poll was a little bit confusing. Perhaps, i´ve got a lil bit to far with my thoughts…maybe...simple minded isn´t the right word for it...
Anyway, the idea for this poll here came to me of some discussions about Morias age. Few guys had think Moria was a giant and this race just slowly aged, so that Moria was still a kid in giant standards.
That´s why i made this poll.
To have some feedback what do you think of this.

And for me he´s in his mind a child.
He's a really tragic character, not a child. - Also I don't think Moria is a giant, he's a regular human who absorbed powerful shadows and then grew bigger than a regular human that way.(You'll get to see what I mean later in the anime about how many shadows you've absorbed is proportional to your size)
I do gotta say moria may act a bit childish and is lazy but he's quite an interesting shichibukai.
