And I swear, I almost fell out of my chair laughing at the last page! There was still a part of me that thought Duval would be a new character. But this just takes the cake with someone acutally looking exactly like Sanji's crappy mugshot.

Aw, man, I was half-right. I figured it would be a new character, but I thought it would be a face the Straw Hats had never seen before. Guess I was wrong on that.

Also, I know this part has a long time before it's even animated in Japan, but when the English dub gets to this point, they absolutely need to get David Moo to play Duval. The nasally Brooklyn-ish accent would be perfect to convey the character's odd manner of speech, and of course he's the perfect guy to play somebody who looks like Sanji but isn't.

Haha, Oda pulled the "Duval's face" gag off better than what I expected from the spoiler thread.

Good to see Kuma's attack is still having an effect on Zoro, I wonder if it could cause serious trouble later.

I'm hoping this whole Duval mess gets resolved soon though, I'm not too interested in the current events.

OMG….OMG...I thought Bleach had the biggest shock this week but this...this is just beyond brilliant! Duval has the face of the horrible Wanted poster Sanji had! That is probably one of the most shockingly hilarious gags Oda has ever done! I can't believe I'm saying this with all that's going on but this has to be one of the best chapters out there! (and that's saying a lot)

Also liked the continued Hachan/Zoro interactions and the scene with Franky being shot by the Flying Fish Riders.

Or better yet, they should get Steve Yurko, AKA "Dragon Warrior" to play him. He does such a great imitating the old 4Kids Sanji in his Dub Piece. I do get a David Moo vibe whenever I look at Sanji's wanted poster, so that's perfect.

My guess is not very strong, and also not very bright either.
This will be totally comic relief. The peons can't even touch Nami.

Duval will obviously be stronger than the peons, but when has a worthy villian ever been kicked in comic relief before the start of a fight. Not even foxy was kicked, but we could tell it'd be funny. Considering he's after Sanji and not Luffy, we'll see Sanji make quick work of him. Should be quite entertaining

I'm all ready for chapter 495… woohoo!

Interesting that Zoro is still recuperating from the damage. Would make sense... Also, surprised no one brought this up (or maybe i missed it), but didn't Kuma removed all of Luffy's built up damage from all his fights. So, essentially, he has a clean slate for using his gears once again. Fresh start for the New World I take it... does this fit the storyline, or was it a genious way for Oda to give Luffy a once over before the big guns... maybe this needs it's own thread...

Every Sh really contributed something to the fight
Nami actually was a little cool this chapter.
And i think it's great that Zoro actually still suffers from his wounds, i thought it was weird he cured so fast.

And i'm hoping that Usopp will actually take a bit of the poison Duval uses on his harpoons. That could be interesting.

It was nice to see Tentacle Sword Overload again. And was kind of amusing having Hatchi save B and Z, only to have B and Z return the favor immediately. It's pretty awesome seeing how well Brooke and Zoro work together. They get along pretty well, too, sharing some common ground as swordsmen.

Dunno about good friends, but I think he'll end up helping the Strawhats, the situation will probably change in the next 1-2 chapters. He's sort of a pitiful chap anyways, doesn't seem to pose any real threat outside of the harpoons, unless he or his 'Love' Bison has some wacky ability we don't know about yet.

As for the chapter, I like the bit where Hatchan attacks one of the riders. Also good to see that Kuma's damage is really affecting Zoro.

But I like said it earlier, the Duval's twist is pretty disappointing and lame. What a waste of good character.

Zoro, Brooke & Hatchi. Three swordsmen fighting together! I hope Oda explores their dynamic more during the fishmen island arc. I'm also loving Brooke in the crew. I dunno why, but he seems to add something to the group dynamics. Maybe because he is an older gentleman?

Usopp and Franky should have had a field day dispatching the flying fish riders, since they have the most acurate long-range attacks. Yet, they are the two Strawhats that have received the least attention in these last two chapters.

Well, it was. But strong hammer is also the most inneffective weapon on Franky's arsenal in this situation. Even the strong right (or the extensive punch, whatever it is called) would be more efficient.

Ok, ok. THat was a very very very minor complain. This chapter was fun, almost pure win. Franky and Usopp's relative minor actions in it just bothered me a little for some reason.

I did notice this, and thought the same at first. But then I thought, Nami is also disposing of these guys. They're nothing more than cannon fodder. why waste Franky and Usopp's usefulness on peons. I'm sure we'll have some serious long range encounters later in the story and we'll see some great team work by those two.

I can see your point. To be honest, one thing that really bothered me in this chapter (aside the LOL DUVAL IS JUST LIKE SANJI'S POSTER yadda yadda) was Nami and Robin's boring moves against the riders.

I really don't think there's anything to complain about Franky this week. The way the Flying Fish Riders were shooting at him and complaining prior to the Strong Hammer was classic Oda. Robin and Ussop I can see though.
