I think that's why they call it a boxset. Probably just a thicker box for the two DVDs.
Only complaint about the picture is Luffy being in the back instead of the front.
And when this manga closes out, and Luffy's arm stretches back to deliver that last punch, I wanna feel the crunch of the dream coming true.

This is a slightly edited cross-post from another forum. I'm very tired so I didn't decide to read this entire thread; if I'm repeating any information that's already been stated, I'm sorry. I'll read it all later after the April Fool's joke wears off to address any possible questions or whatever else that I may be able to answer, but for now I cannot be arsed to slog through all of the joke-y weirdness to translate it into English and just decided to get this all out in one go.
I just got back from the same show as dirt monkey AL, where I am actually on the concom. I spoke personally at some length with Adam, one of Funimation's reps. He told me that Funimation did not have a hand in pulling Naruto off of the air and that they were currently in the process of trying to find out exactly what was going on with that whole situation from Cartoon Network. I was also told that as far as Funimation knows, Naruto should be returning to the air sometime in the future, but even they don't know exactly when. They did not stop dubbing the show and as of this weekend, at the very least, they do not have any plans to stop releasing the series on DVD, which are scheduled to be released every six to eight weeks or so. Right now there are no current plans to change the way the DVDs are being released either; however, if the series does well enough it may get a later re-release with different packaging, like many of Funimation's other releases.
The first four episodes of the television series were supposed to premier at the show. I actually managed to somehow find the time to attend that premier, albeit only by the skin of my teeth. It took place in one of our main panel rooms, and it was packed. But there was a glaring fuck-up somewhere along the way. The episodes were not what was brought to the premier; it was instead the eighth film again, which as you well know is already available on DVD from Funimation. It was a screener copy so there were also some audio/video complications, but I won't go into the details of that any further so don't ask. I didn't bother to stay for the entire screening, so I don't really know what the general audience reaction was to it either.
In regards to the movie eight DVD from Funimation, the lack of a Japanese 5.1 audio track is because the master they were given from Toei did not include a Japanese 5.1 audio track. Funimation can only work with what they are given by Toei and the other Japanese companies, and this includes all special features such as settei galleries, creditless intros and endings, behind the scenes footage and most everything else. Their writers, actors and directors are actually quite good at their jobs so bloopers are fairly rare, which is why English dub blooper reels aren't typically included as extras on Funimation's DVDs.
Several Funimation voice actors were also in attendance at the show this year, of which three among them – Brina Palencia, Caitlin Glass and Vic Mignogna – were involved in some way with the new Naruto English dub. Unfortunately I did not have the chance to talk or meet at length with any of them this year outside of work, nor was I able to attend any of their hosted panels. So someone else will have to provide information from their perspective, if there is any.
Hopefully this helps to clear up some things, at least from Funimation's side. As for Cartoon Network, not even Funimation knows for sure what's going on with them.

But it's only 2 discs. Unless they got a ton of extra stuff mashed in their, it's sorta wasting cardboard (or plastic, or whatever).
I'm only thinking of my poor poor shelves.

You can say all that until you're blue in the face, but they'll still bitch and moan until CN puts One Piece back on the schedule. Another thing Adam said that I forgot to mention is that this is not like what happened with Yuu Yuu Hakusho, so don't expect One Piece to come back with a shitty timeslot.

The Cover preview has artwork of Luffy, Nami, and Zoro with the words "A Pirate's Tale: How Funimation Salvaged the Shipwrecked One Piece and found Gold"
Oh and the cover is probably extra thick because it'll be made of some fancy material, maybe tin, Funmation boxsets are generally pretty nice and aesthetically pleasing.

Martin's right tho, we already got several threads for that stuff. It's KOF's own fault that he's too lazy to search. Especially considering how this thing blew up it would not take long to find an answer.
