Was that statement of mine too much for the cognitive processes your cerebro is capable to take care of or what else are you trying to tell me with that linguistic masterpiece response?

They're going to fansub ALL the episodes of One Piece. EVENTUALLY.
Does that answer your question?

Is your cerebral cortex not developed enough to understand the concept of editing your post instead of double posting? Oh and fixed. Seriously, your entire statement was a mess.

Hahaha, it would appear so!^^

Erm ok… O_O
On topic: Seriously, Kaizoku are all a bunch of lazy asses. They take months for just one episode. They really are never gonna catch up at this rate. And to think they used to be the best, sigh...

Of course it would be great if K-F was able to release at a faster pace, but even if they did, they couldn't catch up to the currently airing episodes as long as they are using DVD rips, since the DVDs are being released more than a year after those episodes air (yes I know this is no longe a valid argument, since they will start using HDTV rips with 261, and the DVD releases are already past that point, but that's a big part of the reason why they have always been far behind the new episodes, besides the fact that they started subbing quite awhile after OP first began airing, so they were already way "behind" to start with). Also, you can't expect someone to release high quality subs every week without getting burned out after awhile (case in point - Vegapunk) and either having to slow down, at least temporarily or else shut down. Name another fansub group that has been able to produce top-quality subs for 238 episodes of the same series. Sure it might be nice if they gave more updates or allowed backups to fill in when key staff members needed a few months off, but I'd much rather they take their time and make sure each release is perfected rather than have their quality drop or risk them going under because of burnout.

Yes, thats all I wanted to know.

Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.
K-F might not be lightning fast, but they put out consistently high quality work. And besides, how many fansubs have you released out of curiosity?
Calling people who spend their time translating, editing, timing and much more 'a bunch of lazy asses' is just silly. It's not like it takes 20 minutes to create a fansub.

"Not lightning fast" is one hell of an understatement. I mean, Vegapunk has slowed down quite a bit lately, but at least they release more than ONE EPISODE PER MONTH, and their quality is comparable to K-F in my opinion. And now that K-F's new releases aren't really necessary to enjoy the show with some proper subs, I can totally understand why people would be annoyed. I for one, gave up on following their releases ages ago, because consistently being 120+ episodes behind doesn't exactly appeal to me.

It's posts like this that make sure you'll never be a "big name celebrity."

Erm did I give the impression I was trying to be>.>? Anyway I agree with Vegard. There's a difference between taking your time to give quality work and just plain being lazy. Are you expecting me to believe that it really takes months for those guys to do one episode? Look at Vegapunk's comparable work which is much faster. If it's because they have busy lives then they really should stop trying for their sake since there are other capable fansubbers who have already done the work and making themselves suffer like this is just bad for both themselves and the viewers. In other words, if Kaizoku can't handle the workload anymore, they should just come out and say it instead of making us wait like this.

I don't really agree with that. If K-F wants to keep subbing despite not being able to do it at a brisk pace, I see nothing wrong with it. Besides, their work is noticable better than the only other fansubber doing these episodes (Gerusama), so they've got my backing, at least until they catch up with Vegapunk's releases.
-
Which will probably be never at this rate unless they pick up the pace.

Okay, if we want to talk about 'understatements'. This is the thread for 238. It came out exactly 30 days after 236. So they released three episodes in that month, not one.
If people are happy without watching K-F's version, that's fine. It's a free world, and that's your own choice to make. And I doubt anyone would blame you for going with other subtitles.
What's stupid and rude, however, is referring to Kaizoku-Fansubs as 'a bunch of lazy assess'. These are fans who in their free time, and simply out of their passion of the series, have translated and subbed 238 episodes, 3 TV specials and 6 movies of One Piece, and continue to release more. That's about as far from being 'lazy' as you can get.
-
Then if they're not lazy, then the fansubbers who have actually subbed ALL the episodes currently in a good quality and at a faster pace must be inhuman.
-
However, there aren't any groups like that. K-F holds the record for most of a single series.
They slow down when people in the group have something major in their life that slows everything down, which happened for a lot of last year. Though during that time they were able to get a lot of episodes partially done, so they should be able to release at a good pace, and have been for a while now.
Groups that speed sub and get the episode out on the day of or a day or two after a release set their schedules up and orient their lives around where the raws appear, and have much less quality checking and vernacular language because of it.
Plus. K-F only has two translators, from what I know, and they both have full-time jobs, making things even more difficult. -
Hence the "they should quit while they're ahead part" if they're biting off more than they chew. If they can't handle the work load, they should just quit.
And there are fansubbers like that, they are called Vegapunk with comparable quality and faster releases.

If you haven't noticed, Vegapunk is really struggling right now and isn't releasing much faster, if any, than K-F, at least in the past couple of months (I can say this because I am on VP staff). Also, we've only been releasing since episode 294 - roughly 25% of the episodes that K-F has done, so I think K-F deserves a little more respect for their longevity. Why should they quit? There are always going to be people watching OP for the first time, and a lot of people prefer to watch as much of a series as possible with the same fansub group, especially if the quality is good. So it seems to me that it's a good thing for them to add to that list of continuous episodes as long as they are willing and able to do so. I assure you that people will keep watching their new releases no matter how slow they are (even people like myself who moved on to other groups after the end of K-F releases but still enjoy going back and watching the K-F versions when they come out).
-
Hmm, I guess you're right. I just wish they'd release faster.

You are truly ignorant. I've worked for K-F since 2003, if you don't know your facts, you have no room to complain about the work we do or give us "helpful" suggestions. I hope this thread has enlightened you somewhat.
-
Erm yeah, you're about a post late in that department. You should really read threads in their entirety before going on a hanging spree>.>

I agree. While K-F's releases aren't as frequent, there are plenty of us who just prefer them over Vega. If you'd rather watch the VP sub, then go ahead and get those instead. However, I see no reason for K-F to stop subbing if there are still people watching their releases.
