i cant see how u guys can tell the time for each arch… if u count the time from the beginning of OP it's like 3/4 months adventure when we know time passed is more than that... so I think you cant say how long passed between archs because it's pretty unsure what time is in OP's universe...
Who is Duval?

You can´t tell the time for each arc but if I´m not mistaken all of the Grand Line arcs have a clear time schedule given by Oda within the chapters as members like Roman Zaenom and Kibagami have pointed out pretty well. However this time actually mostly focuses on the period spent on the actual island and not how much time it took to get from one Island to the other (things like Longring Longland to Water 7 being the exception here).
Of course the sailing might progress quite as well but considering how big the OP world is (going by the maps we´ve had so far) and also considering how time consuming it was to simply sail from one spot to the other during colonial times in the real world I´d say that it isn´t that much of a stretch to expect the Strawhats to take something like at least a week while sailing between the islands. Sometimes it could take even longer and sometimes not. Just because we don´t see the time elaborated doesn´t mean that it doesn´t happen.
Also, the time spent at East Blue gets not elaborated at all. We just know that Luffy diagonally crossed entire East Blue, which by sailing time should be quite a while. This is not counting the few stops he made there until he finally made it to the Red Line. So even though the pure time at the islands passes rather quickly Luffy must have left Fuusha Village at least something like half a year ago.

4 things to say to you…
-I was only responding to Greg's query about Bellamy
-read my post carefully, slowly, and again
-check the chapter and pages number
-the topic of the thread is NOT the voyage lengthEDIT: this is directed at daniz

Dupal looks to be a half giant to me so I think that he is a new villian after Zoro or Franky.

roronoa: Half giants are as big as "big pan" from the Davey back fight.
Whitebeard, the franky destroyers, kuma and all other big people that are not quite as big as big pan are just large humans.
(Duval is really Dadan… I don't think that has been mentioned yet.)

What does being a half giant have anything to do with being a proper opponent for Zoro or Franky?

Ever since that Roman Zaemon's post I've been obsessed with the Voyage length. ROMAN ZAEMON'S TIME-LINE UPDATED in 2006 by me. I'm neither as bad-ass nor as infrequent as Roman Zaemon, but I may be able to help on this matter. The entire W7/EL arc, from arrival to departure, took 10 days. I'm 99% sure on this but that 1 percent could only ADD 1 day AT MOST because I doubt they spent more than 24 hours fighting on EL. The time spent between W7 and TB is unknown, but I can tell you that from the arrival to LRL to the departure from W7 the time spent is about 17 days.
TB took 4 days total. One day for the whole battle (they enter the FT during daytime and Kuma shows right after sun rise). 1 day later (ch486 p4) Brooke had his flashback and joins the crew immediately. 2 days later (ch489 p11) they depart. "A FEW DAYS LATER" they arrive at the red line (ch490 p9).
I'm hesitant about updating the original thread because it's from soooo long ago, but I have all the details on the W7/EL time-line…. I was gonna post it but it's too long and COMPLETELY OFF TOPIC.... Should I just do it anyway? It took me an hour to compile all the chapter and page numbers because I actually re-checked everything after Skypea....
Anyway, if I guesstimate the time between
- SP and LRL
- W7 and TB
- TB and now ............... to be around 1-2 weeks, then it would be 4-5 weeks since Bellamy got chopped up in ch 303 right after the crew left SP and lands on the blue sea. A VERY VERY good guess by Greg. [applause]
Actually I like your estimate better than mine. I thought they hung around TB and spent more time in W7 post CP9 assualt on GL and the aftermath. With those figures 2-3 weeks sounds best. Excellent compilation! More than qualifies as bad-ass. One might even say….BMF
But yeah, even more so of a reason it doesn't seem likely it could be Bellamy. I mean COULD it? Yeah, but it'd be one of Oda's bigger stretches and I'd find it hard to swallow.

your topic was quite interesting i just think that time is different for oda and he does not give too much attention to time consistency. we've seen this on coby and hermeppo's character development.
about your last note, we'r talking 'bout the masked guys so how he get there if he is a known character is a critical point for the arguing… imho...

I still don´t see why 5 weeks is too less of a time to do so. Luffy managed to just get two new crewmates in practically a weak and one of them is somebody who he wanted to squash for revenge. I don´t think that Bellamy would have it that tough to find a handful of followers if he gets to a place where his defeat at Mocktown hasn´t been told yet. Just being stronger then Hachi doesn´t make them uber monsters so why shouldn´t they follow Bellamy if he seems to be a promising leader?

muahroomboy: as of chapter 491 we haven't seen the right hand. Morgans left hand (the one we have seen of Duval) is normal.

thread closed for now because people are shitting out spoilers like diarrhea. let's just all be patient and stop speculating about the guy until the chapter comes out tomorrow.
some of you really need to learn what "NO SPOILER OUTSIDE SPOILER FORUM" means. it defeats the purpose of having a bloody spoiler forum.
