Earlier today, I spoke to my niece to wish her a belated Happy Birthday (she's turned eight). While we talked, I learned that her family (via my sister-in-law's winning of a contest) won a Nintendo Wii. As a late birthday gift, I'd like to send her a Wii game to play as her own.
The tricky part comes in what to pick. Not just in "is the content suitable?" But is it something an eight year old whose main experience with video games that I know of is a Game Boy Advance she lost can play?
That in mind I'm thinking something either purely simple or fun despite challenge. Current front-runner is a game called Elebits. It's easy on the wallet (a nice plus, I must confess) and reviews on amazon call it good for all ages to play. I may rent the game myself if possible to be sure, but I'd also like some other opinions to be sure of my choice.
Thank you in advance for any aid and advice.
