Kira has no charisma? Go home, you're drunk.
Sadly, he was a bad makeover of a character. The only thought of tranquility that he seeks is the main contradiction of DIB.
With that in mind, i couldn't take a liking to him. Have to admit that he's one of the attractive characters in DIB, along with Koichi and Rohan, thanks to be an opposite to the similar personalities showed so far on that moment, which doesn't means it's a good one.
2 more weeks until D'arby. I can't wait.
Oh wow is it really? I could've sworn
! Hol Horse and Boingo came before it, but then again it's been a while since I read Part 3
最高にハイ!ってやつだァァァ!アハハハーッ Dio
世界、時よ止まれッ!Dio (time stop quote)
てめーはおれを怒らせた Jotaro
、と、ヘブンズドアーの顔、になります Rohan
The other ones are sound effects.
Damn, I missed cool discussions.
About Alessi, I Hate the fight and agree with Rolands, except that I think that the worst fight in the series is Wheel Of Fortune.
I don´t dislike Alessi actually. He is supposed to be a coward and his ways and Stand reflect that very well. This guy is arguably more disgusting/repulsive than Steely Dan, and that´s saying something. Basically, he plays his role perfectly.
Also, Set shadow stand looks awesome.
I did not like the fight however. The ending
! was worse than Justice (Enya´s Stand) and made no sense at all.
Seriously? I know Alessi is supposed to be a weakling coward, but getting kocked out by a 4 year old Jotaro was just pathetic and totally removed all sense of danger about the guy. And no, that wasn´t Star Plat. IT WAS ACTUALLY FRIGGIN JOTARO!
Even if I try to analyze the rest of the fight, it felt like a Benny Hill´s episode, with Alessi acting like an idiot and underestimating a weak kid that keeps outsmarting him (and outrunning) all the time.
About Villains list, I never thought a lot about it, but it should be something like:
! 7. Diavolo
6. Kars
5. PB Dio
4. Pucci
3. Funni
2. SDC Dio
1. Kira
I absolutely love 5 and above it though.
And 2 and 3 are pretty much interchangable.
Does someone know if Iggy's VA gonna be the same from the game?
I don't remember seeing him talking until now.
Villain List:
! 6.Pucci
5.Diavolo
4.Valentine
3.Kars
2.Kira
1.Dio
I dunno why people wants to separate part 1 Dio and Part 3 Dio, they are all Dio Brando.
His outlook and motivation changed a lot, it's 100 years apart.
Phantom Blood Dio Brando is a conniving little sociopath, Stardust Crusaders DIO is a 10 year-old with time powers and a 100 years time to think.
Now a Jojo List:
! 7. Johnnathan-Not because being the first gets you lampsheded by others, but when I see Johnnathan I see some mix of macho guy and wimp english emo kid. Yeah I know Dio made his life hell and he killed his dog, but before Zepelli it was like seeing a british version of Peanuts.
6. Jolyne-Creating a female Jojo is bold and creating a female main character is even boldier, but since its Stone Ocean we are talking about, its like putting a rare animal in a some dirty and rusty cage. Also having a man face doesn't help.
5. Giorno- He is the black sheep of the family so its to be expected to be the less "Jojo" of they, but how can someone forget the longest multi-punch in Jojo's history and one of the most fabulous stand poses ever. The main problem is that I feel Vento Aureo was more fixed in his companions.
4. Jousuke- By far the funniest of they all( outside part 8 Jousuke). Its good to have a breath of amusement, specially after how heavy was Stardust Crusader. Also his Stand shows to have more creativity than Star Platinum. And for last his story was really well written, as since the last 3 was pretty much going to point A to point B, his story was more about his adventures in Morioh.
3. Joseph- Its like everything that was wrong with Johnnathan was fixed in him. He is not as generic as Jonnathan, being more energetic and rebelious and was even featured in 2 other parts that if compared to Jotaro, who also was featured in 2 other parts, he had a more extended role, though he wasn't as good as he was in Battle Tedency looking like a completely different character, but speaking of only part 2, he is one pf the most charismatic Jojos out there and no one forgets his "specials techniques".
2. Jotaro- First of all, yeah I know Jotaro and Stardust Crusaders is overrated by a bunch of people, but everytime we talks about Jojo we think of Jotaro and the magical genies and speaking of they, when I was first introduced to Stands, I thought all of they were supossed to be straight forward like Star Platinum and Red Magician…That was not the case of course, but when I speak of Star Platinum its just punches, reflexes and that is all. Him as a character, I do feel he is the one who most didn't panic at any situation in SC always having that tough look that I somehow like to see.
1. Johnny- Yep, this list begins with Johnnathan and ends with Johnnathan. The reason why I see Johnny as the best Jojo, its because he is pretty much the opossite of Johnnathan who was polite and just too much of a nice person and Johnny is like more "american", of course not as much as his itallian friend. I wanted to make a 100 lines post of how awesome is Johnny, but I have to synthetize in few words: He has a touching history, being a fallen jockey genius that become paraplegic because he was a total dick, he seems to had a story of redemption by enter a race across the US that by hanging around with Gyro, he seemed to have become a better person because of him and speaking of Gyro, I got sad that they didn't finished the race as planned and that first race was really bullshit, but I loved seeing two best pals helping each other and evolving along the way. Holy, Johnny even had a talk with Jesus Christ in order to advance further in his journey and we see at the end of SBR how this experience helped him. Gyro's death and his father's reunion were the only part in a manga that I actually cried(a little) and the only shame its that he wasn't the one who finished the second Diego. Also he rides a Horse.
Gonna do one too.
I will add more complete reasons later
! 7- GioGio: Started out really well, but soon found himself lost in the gang while Araki was trying to get each cast character fights and development. The monent he got in Passione, Gio´s story took a hiatus until the end.
! 6- Jonathan: Unlike a lot of people, I love the classic chivalrous, knight in shiny armour, pure of heart character.
I have nothing agaist Jonathan, I simply think he is a bit simple compared to the other protagonists
! 5- Jotaro: Cool as fuck when the main character.
Cool as fuck when giving others that role.
Jotaro is a "stoic" character done right and managed to destroy my previous hate for this kind of character trope. He manages to have a lot of moments, expressions and punchlines that place any Byakuya, Levi, Sasuke or any other you can think of to shame.
! 4- Jolyne: Action girl!
I find it very hard for anyone to dislike Jolyne. Her personality is somewhat between a mix of Jotaro and Joseph.
Too bad some of Stone Ocean´s fights were a total mess.
! 3- Joseph: Hilarious and witty. Amazing poses and good strategy in fights. When a character pretty much carries a manga (part in this case) by himself, you know he is good.
! 2- Johnny: He was a total dick and lost everything.
But the moment he caught a glimpse of hope he got himself in a huge redemption trip through pain and trials.
The dynamics with Gyro were amazing and I loved the development he had through SBR.
Also, that Stand is awesome, and he provided us with one of the best Ora moments in the series
! 1- Josuke: Best Stand user in the series. I dare anyone to prove me otherwise.
I love his style and design. He has a simple but effective backstory, and I love the fact that he… sometimes doesn´t feel like a main character.
In a way, Josuke is just there. He doesn´t have any reason to fight Kira or chase crazy Stand users around.
Reimi went to Koichi and Rohan to ask for help while he was eating Italian and cheating his way through poorness... and that´s what makes him so cool.
He doesn´t have any reason to fight. He is not an action hero or a justice crusader. He´s not trying to get revenge for fallen comrades or chooses to help others because some traumatic experience made him that way. He´s just a dude trying to live his life and have fun while helping out his community when he can. He has faults and can even be a bit greedy at times, but aren´t we all a bit like that? We are, and so is Josuke, but when help is really needed, he is always the first to arrive at the spot and placing himself in the frontline for others.
He perfectly fits the theme of the story.
! Now if you excuse me, I´ll go to the Casino and try to cheat in a game of Dice Poker.
I just have to find a shape shifting alien and make sure no alarms go by.
Well, if we're now talking favorite Jojos guess I'll put down my list.
Though I'll come back with the reasons later when I have time.
! 7. Jonathan
! 6. Giorno
! 5. Joseph
! 4. Jo2uke (So far, looks like he could get better)
! 3. Jotaro
! 2. Jonny/Jolyne
! 1. Josuke
So I watched every single episode of Stardust part of JoJo that aired up until now and I must say that its more enjoyable(for me) than reading that part of manga.
Production value is crazy good and its classic anime as it is already.
Last part with deaths and carnage should be quite amazing with quality that we are getting. I thought that I wont enjoy part 3 animated as much as I do after awesome part 2.
As for future I would say that anime team could even repair some faults of for example part 6 and make it closer to perfection than it was. Same with other parts.
It's funny. I really like Phantom Blood, I love Battle Tendency from the bottom of my soul and I think Stardust Crusaders is just meh.
But while I was watching the first two parts' anime just out of curiosity (and even skipped some episodes), I am really excited with SC anime - always looking forward to the next episode, watching it as soon as possible. This adaptation made SC incredibly enjoyable, making the long and otherwise boring series of fights into really funny episodic events (making me believe Part IV anime will be pure perfection).
Its very hard to read the action of the Stands in the manga, as if they were made to see in motion.
Hell, when Scary Monsters started I didn't get it what was happening when Johnny was trying to pass those bars.

I loved Stardust Crusaders' tour guide through Asia, besides that, meh xd.
Oh man, can't make a Jojo list, Joseph is my best anyway.
I did my part today and bought the first Jojonium volume. Hardcover manga is such a novelty for me, and it's nice having paper that feels like actual book paper and not the flimsier stuff most manga volumes usually come in. The whole package looks great!
I'm going to be buying the Jojonium volume in a little more than a week, because I've heard of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure for YEARS, and it's finally gotten to a point that I just gotta see what the buzz is all about.
Also, reading the past few pages without knowing much of the context is hilariously weird.
The Jojonium is great and i love that the parts that were in colour when it first released are again in colour. We get to see all of Araki's funky colour decisions.
Out of sheer curiosity, I´m going to a small exercise.
Over the years I´ve heard many people (no one actually…) discuss about how had more screen time in SDC: Jotaro or Polnareff.
I´m going to go over each fight and give one point to each fight main character, and half a point to characters that were involved, but played a less memorable/suportish role.
So yeah... I´m just doing this out of boredom:
! Prison scene: Good intro fight between Jotaro and Avdoll. Both characters deserve +1
vs Kakyoin: Jotaro +1, Kakyoin +1
vs Tower of Gray: Kakyoyn +1, Jotaro´s role in this was quite small and forgetable. Only served to hype ToG a bit, so 0.
vs Chariot: Avdol +1, Polnareff +1
vs DBM: Jotaro +1
vs Strenght: Jotaro +1
vs Ebony Devil: Polnareff +1
vs Y. Temperance: Jotaro +1
vs Hanged man and Emperor: Polnareff +1, Kakyoin +0.5. Maybe i´m being a bit unfair to Kakyoin, but the entire episode felt like a Polnareff thing while he acted more like a support both in the fight and on the emotional side.
Empress: Joseph (!) +1
Wheel of Fortune: Jotaro +1. Kakyoin´s role on this was just too small to even be considered
Justice: Polnareff +1, Jotaro +1
Lovers: Jotaro +1, Kakyoin + 0.5
The Sun: Lol… I honestly don´t think i can even give any points in this one.
Death 13: Kakyoin + 1
Judgement: Avdol +1, Pol +0.5
High Priestess: Jotaro +1. Everyone was present, but no one really stood out.
N´Doul: Jotaro +1, Iggy +0.5.
vs Oingo and Boingo: 0 to everyone
Anubis: Polnareff +1, Jotaro +1
Mariah: Joseph +1, Avdol + 0.5
Alessi: Polnareff +1, Jotaro +0.5
D´Arby: Jotaro +1, Joseph +0.5
Hol Horse and Oingo: 0
Pet Shop: Iggy +1
D´Arby: Jotaro +1, Joseph +0.5, Kakyoin +0.5
Vanilla Ice: Polnareff +1, Iggy +0.5, Avdol +0.5
ZA WARUDO: Jotaro +1, Kakyoin +1, Joseph +0.5, Polnareff +0.5
So the final results for my useless ranking are:
! Jotaro: 14.5
Polnareff: 7.5
Kakyoin: 5.5
Avdol: 4
Joseph: 3.5
Iggy: 2
Now proceed with life.
Kakyoin should have gotten a +1 for Lovers. They wouldn't have won without him! And if you take away the random "Stands can shrink" rule, he would still be the best candidate for fighting Lovers.
Damn good episode. I don't remember how this fight was in the manga, but i really liked how they did it in the anime. Little Jotaro is beast! I don't care if it doesn't make sense… we got Ora Ora action and it's Araki. I forgive him.
Ugh….This fight was gross. I had forgotten the child transformation and just....Ugh. There was just so much in this encounter I could have gone my whole life without seeing.
Also I'd like to say the one thing that pisses me off the most in this series is how unwilling the characters are to believe their comrades when something is odd. Weird shit happens to them a lot and they are being persused constantly. But they every other situation ignore their friend.
Jotaro was all "Hey, foreign looking kid who has the same stupid hair cut as my missing friend and seems to be struggling to ask me something. Have you seen my friend?"
Dunno, the last part was kinda funny.
!
Alessi….
That guy...
...
F**KING HATE HIM!!
He is like a Murderous Pedophile
He should have gotten beat up twice as much
Kakyoin should have gotten a +1 for Lovers. They wouldn't have won without him! And if you take away the random "Stands can shrink" rule, he would still be the best candidate for fighting Lovers.
That was honestly the hardest ponctuation I had to give. The most memorable parts of the fight were the ones between Jotaro and S. Dan. The scenes with the rest were a bit bland actually.
But yes, a case can be made for Kakyoin´s importance in it. It wouldn´t change the finals scores though.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Dunno, the last part was kinda funny.
!
Still a bit dumb don´t you think?
This isn´t like The Sun, or Oingo and Boingo. Alessi was a coward, but his Stand was very dangerous.
The ending seemed like a cheap way to end a fight that was actually somewhat stressfull in the sense that it seemed like there was no one that the main characters would manage to beat it.
Anyway, D´Arby is next, so it doesn´t matter.
https://www.yotube.com/watch?v=geIH4iM-qqo[/ideo]
The guy at the end sounded almost like Richard Epcar's Joseph
Crap, I was way behind on the episodes. Aw yeah, D'Arby battle next.
Hey guys….............just passing through to share some photos of my Part II & IV Jojo collection:
Getting Jotaro and Star Platinum next week so I can start me Part III collection!!
Hmmm.
That collection made me remember something.
Whose characters are gonna die in Jojolion?
Not surprising at the confirmation of the Pillar Men. But what about Santama?

16 characters of Santana You make it sound almost like "Saitama"
Also I find previous ps3 JoJo game amazing and arena idea for this one is all kinds of meh for me.
JoJo should have stayed 3D2D fighting game in my opinion.
What is Jojo without manly aztec gods?

I just hope the roster(with including DLC if they do it) will be like:
ASB Roster
Diego
Speedwagon
Stronheim
Mariah
Miuccia Miuller
Santana
Weather Report
Sandman
Yukako Yamagishi
So can anyone think of maybe 6 more good character?

Notorious B.I.G
Don't care how they do it. I need it.
Maybe I´m being extremely picky, but am I te only one that thought D´Arby looked… cute, and a little less threatening? Especially in the first half of the episode.
That's kind of the point, how he battles without bloodlust and intimidation.
With puppy eyes and luscious lips?
Meh, w/e. The episode was really great, especially the Joseph part.

And on how to get acquainted to the somewhat suspect looking way Araki poses his characters.
