I have been thinking about that, too. But though it might seem cool, I don't think I would like it. I don't like the idea of Usopp having a "split personality" or something like that. I don't mind him using two names like Sanji or playing "secret agent", but I would not want him to get another personality as soon as he changes costume. I prefer to see Usopp hesitating before going to fight and having to overcome his own fears. I would really like to see him becoming braver slowly and developing like a real character instead of switching personalities.

I don't think that's going to happen with Usopp beyond this incident. I think Usopp always had somewhat of a split personality, in a more subtle way, between who he wants to be and who he is afraid he really is, and he needs to come to grips with both. If I said that right.

I think Usopp will talk bravely and confident, seem confident, but he will still hesitate, and his legs will still shake when confronted by Someone like Lucci.

As for the gun-to-suit-Usopp's-aim issue, I also want him to stick with his slingshot and dials. Using a normal gun he'd have had no way to put up such a great fight with Luffy, for example.

Depends on what kind of gun he uses. A revolver with many chambers (the number of chambers equals the number of the types of Stars) that can hold five Stars a chamber… But that's just me.

I prefer a realization behind SogeKing's mask, that he is strong, and that he can be brave. Gradual change, kinda like that.

You know what always wonders me is when people complain about how wrong a gun would be for Usopp but in the same instant nobody has a problem when heÂ´s firing the ships cannon. I mean heÂ´s a sharpshooter and IMO heÂ´s supposed to be good with everything that is made for shooting. They may not be his first choice weapons but they are definitely not out of place for him!

Seriously though, a gun that'd shoot his Stars would be Ok (Or some sort of flamethrower perhaps?)- as long as we'll keep hearing "Usopp...NOIIISE!" and "Usopp Wa-Go-MU!" every now and then.

But he's not a "tough" character. The only time the cannon's even used is pretty much for comedy.

Even after his attack on the Franky House and fight with Luffy, he was hesitant to jump in when Franky needed him. His reluctance to step up is key to his character. It wouldn't be the same if he just pulled a gun on whoever pissed him off.

Well I donÂ´t disagree with you Buccaneer. I actually just think that it wouldnÂ´t look out of place if he would one time use a gun if the situation would require it. It wouldnÂ´t change it character if it would be clear that this is an exception. Oda could definitely write that very believable IMO.

Well, I had a social study lesson on ancient venice today and the photos I see really reminds me of Water Seven.

Yeh, I think that's where the core inspiration came from for Water 7. Also, the Carnivale di Venezia is another major tying point to Venice/W7.

lol, a see train in venice won't be THAT useful, because venice is still a part of Italy. or so it was the last i heard about it.

ok, the carnival is also why w7 and venice are similar, but it doesn't happen on w7, it's on another island (don't remember the name) if i'm right.

btw, i've just rewatched ep 231, it's fun to see so much pandaman masks on the stores, i can't remember if they were in the manga.

I would be high if that "someone" is a huge yellow merman cowfish building the real Sea Train. Excuse me while I go back to reailty. In real life, building a Sea Train is nearly impossible.

Okay, 369's already been spoiled, but this question is still with me. When Luffy tells Sanji to have at it, Zoro asks him to think about it. Luffy's then like "well, he that's what he would do. What would you do?" Then Zoro kinda shuts up. But if Zoro were in that situation, wouldn't he just listen to Luffy like always?

I think Sanji would listen to Luffy too, but Luffy is allowing Sanji to decide his own course of action, because he trusts him. And he would have done the same to Zoro if he was in his place.

I don't think Sanji would listen to Luffy. Nobody would, unless the person feel powerless by himself…

Wait for Luffy to rescue Robin so that there'll be higher chance of defeating the enemies? Logically, yes, that's good decision, but emotionally, I don't think they can wait. They want to rescue Robin asap. If they could've waited, then they would've waited for Luffy and them to meat up at the Water Seven train station.

Well, I guess the issue is that Luffy simply did not tell him to wait because he knew that was a lousy idea.

But wasnÂ´t it the captains orders to kick their asses. So SanjiÂ´s and LuffyÂ´s opinion is actually the same. I mean itÂ´s not like Sanji wanted to wait and Luffy forced him into danger or vice versa.
So if Zoro would be in SanjiÂ´s place Luffy would tell him to kick everyoneÂ´s asses. Or am I completely misunderstanding your question Buc? :wacko:
