How does recording work on this thing? You click the record button and it brings up a the window but instead of save, the button is open. When I type a name in and click open it simply makes a defunct asf file.
The One Piece "LIVE" Initiative *Updated*

I'm confused. I just installed the program and it says I have to log in. Is an anonymous account okay or should I make one or wha?
EDIT: Thank you.
-
Anon is fine .
-
I used Anon at first, but said "why not" and made a Buuhan1 account. I really don't see how having an account really plays into it tho…not like there's a chat.
Also, I'm a little worried. Fuji TV seems to be "unreachable" quite often, hopefully it's not when OP is on.
Just to ask again, does anyone know if One Piece reruns at all during the week?
-

of course that can happen. you know, it's streamed by people like you and me, and their pc can be shut down and stuff.

testing testing testing

Err…just what are you testing?

I used to watch live Football World cup and Champions League matches on sobcast at Work but wondered that an address for Fuji Tv and Tokyo existed !!!!!!!!!
It's a chineese p2p video based program and works just great.
I used to copy the url from the wmplayer and past it on VLC player so I can record the stream on hard disk.- when the streaming is loaded, right click on the video and choose "Properties"
- Copy the stream address "exp: h t t p : //127.0.0.1:8902/stream "
- Hide WM player with << button.
- Open your favorite video player " VLC or Media Player Classic"
- choose : Open a location or a streaming location and past the URL you copied earlier.
- Using VLC setting you can record the video to the hard disk.
For poeple suffering synch problems, I think you just wait 'till the program connect to more peers so you can have a good incoming conexions speed.
Enjoy ^^
-
Sweet, so I can watch it in Media Player Classic? (Do you know how to record with it?) Do you have to have SopCast opened while streaming in another player?
EDIT: Damn, Asahi, Fuji, TBS, and NTV all seem to be out.
EDIT: Hmm…I can't seem to get MPC to play a stream, don't think it's able to. Odd, considering it's suppose to be everything in one.
-
Wtf? I'm using Sopcast and watching fuji TV but I'm not getting the normal programming (IE: Gegege no Kitaro). Some random interview stuff.
And, I have the day right this time!

You're 35 minutes too early for Kitaro. -_-;

Oh, so it's 7:30pm for me instead of 6:30pm? Makes sense, time went ahead an hour. Damn and I rushed and everything.
See ya in an hour.
What is this Magical Girl crap on Asahi? XD If I understood the Engrish…think it's "Yes! Pretty Cure Plus" or something.
-
It's Yes Pretty Cure 5 GOGO. It's the 2nd season of the 3rd series of Pretty Cure. The first 2 (Pretty Cure and Pretty Cure Max Heart) were pretty good but then they decided to girl it up, take away the two main characters and replace everything with a more magical girl esque setting.
-
Meh, from what I saw of the originally PC it seemed pretty girly then. If it got more girly…yeesh.
-
sopcast worked beautifully for me, it turned a little choppy during the opening but it really smoothed out
-
Likewise, I had some serious problems at the start tho. It was freezing and coming back. Once it even froze and was acting like it was always on top so I couldn't end it even with task manager. I managed to get task manager to the front after like 2 minutes and end it tho.
The rest of the episode was great, tho.
-
hey guys, i've found a way to watch one piece live in a better quality than KeyHoleTV and without sound lag:
- download sopcast on www.sopcast.com
- obviously install it
- more obviously start it
- enter the following adress: sop://broker1.sopcast.com:3912/42009&chName=Fuji+Channel
- select "play" and that's it! and you can put it in full screen, as this is a mplayer based application (something i couldn't do on keyholetv)
i watched tonight's episode without any problem!
let's see how it turns out next week if some people try it.Holy crap, I got this to work. I thought it'd be too complex for me to work, but nope.
Now what's some good shows coming up in a few minutes?
-
Can't say. I wish I had a translated schedule of Fuji, Asahi, TBS, and NTV. Most I can do is online translator their website schedule…but that brings forth quite some gibberish. I still wanna know if One Piece reruns during the week or anything.
-
PM'd Greg about that. Hopefully I'll get a response from him soon.
-
Fuji TV Sunday morning 9:30AM

-
Yeah, but what about in reruns?
Also, what's the sopcast url for the NTV channel?
-
You don't need a URL. Just check the channel list. If you don't see NTV in the Japanese Pop Group down towards the end of the list then the channel isn't online. People in Japan stream these channels themselves, so they're not always online.
-
I just watched Shugo Chara. Very good episode but strange. At first I thought Nadeshiko was a girl with a crush on Amu(And I'm all for that) but Wiki said Nadeshiko is a man! He's one convincing girl. Damn, there go my thoughts of Shugo Chara going Shoujo Ai. And I got to watch ep.51 of Blue Dragon. Very good episode but it had it's sad moments. I can't wait for One Piece tomorrow night!

Sorry, I can't figure out how to do this even after looking over the program as well as Google. Could you please give an in depth tutorial? Mainly the bolded part, as it's the culprit. Everything is clear but this, how exactly do you record with it? what are these "settings"? Also, before you said you could use Media Player Classic but you don't mention it in actually recording with it.
-
This is what Greg had to say to me in PM about reruns
Syndication? There's a bunch of channels at a bunch of different times and days depending on where you live. It's not really very straightforward. Where I live for instance they're about 5 weeks behind and it's on a network associated with Fuji TV.
-
I have a few questions about SopCast
-
Does anyone have the channel address for TV-Tokyo?
-
Can you set recordings?
-
And is there a torrent for the latest version 3.0.1? I have 1.1.1 or something.

How do I get the Fuji channel on Keyhole? It's not on my list.
-
So is Fuji channel not working for anyone else on SopCast? I can get it to connect on keyhole but it won't show up on sopcast.
-
It isnt working for me either.
Any ideas on how to correct this?
-
@Geg:

How did you get it to work on keyhole? It's not on the list of channels I have.
-
I thought it returned today, but I noticed there was only a few mins left (it comes on at 7:30pm for me here) so I hop on SopCast and Fuji wont load…
Just found it at the last minute on Keyhole, it was airing the preview for next episode...but it lagged and this was the preview:
Even into the next show. -
@AWB:

Hate to sound impatient, but time is running out folks. I need answers.
-
It IS on the channel list. It's your own problem if you can't find it cause it's in Japanese. If I can go through all the channels and eventually find it, so can you.
Either way, if SopCast doesn't have the channel then I just wont be watching the One Piece anime. I'm not dealing with the quality of Keyhole nor do I care to download or go to a video site.
-
As most of you will have noticed, the FujiTV stream in Sopcast isn't working anymore. They moved it to http://www.tvunetworks.com/ TVUPlayer, just download and search for "67620 - Fuji Channel" in the list. The episode just started, have fun.
-
Nice, thanks!
Hurry, hurry, hurry.
-
Ok, Quick question for you guys.
Next week, I finally have off of Work at the time the Ep will air in Japan, and I want to watch it, but when I watch Fuji TV on the TVU player, the Video plays Perfect, but the audio is REALLY skippy… I don't think it's my Connection, because like I said the video plays seamlessly.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem? or am I stuck with it?EDIT: Now the Sound has stopped completely.

I think it’s not a problem of you alone. I get no sound there too. So it’s probably their fault!
If that is not fixed till next week ill just view it with keyhole. But it would be nice if TVU works because you can make the screen bigger -
I had no problem when I was watching it.

Once again, destiny shakes its stiny soot-covered middle finger in my face. I'm not getting any volume for the Fuji channel. Am I alone on this?
-
OOOH, another one of these with no TV Tokyo…
AWB: I'm having the volume problem too.
-
Yeah, AWB, I'm not getting any Either. points at my above post
I watched part of A Cooking show yesterday to see if I would get sound now, and it worked, now I open the window with an hour till OP time, and I get no sound as well… -
Maybe we can find another one of these programs before the hour is up?
-
It's wierd, because this Program just Choses when it wants the sound to work, and right now it doesn't…
-
Dammit, no sound on my end either. I hope this gets fixed before the hour's up. =[
-
Maybe… there's just no Sound on Fuji TV right now... maybe it's a flaw...
Because all the Other Japanese Channels have perfect sound... -
So what will we talk about if the sound doesn't return? The commercials?
Speaking of which, the new Narnia movie must be hella popular in Japan. I've seen the trailer for it fly by like three times already.
