@Fire Fist:
Yeah, I'm a 41 subtlety /12 Combat spec dagger rogue and sometimes I feel like I'm just not punching out the damage I should.
Subtlety is a PVP build, and not really great for raiding, but it'll be ok until you get to the bigger level 70 stuff. You will get the most sustained damage for raiding from something like 20/41/0 swords/fists, or some Mutilate builds like aren't too bad either if you want to keep some pvp abilities.
Here's my armory, http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Proudmoore&n=Kankurou (Yes, I'm a dork and named him after a Naruto character, I was sleepy and uncreative at that moment)
I think the last update has me with my crappy +run speed helm I was using to help me run away from Prince and my riding crop though, lol.
I'd also really like to get rid of that druid chestpiece. -_- sigh
I have very good gear; All outland and mostly blues. Every piece has attack + and good stats. I get about 2nd-3rd (I always try to stay below the tank) in threat/damage rank…. but I suck at PvP
You might want to start putting together two armor sets…for raiding you need a lot of hit rating. 20% is the cap, I think. On the other hand, you want lots of resilience, critical strike rating and stamina for PVP. Like Gohn always says, you're probably going to get the best of both worlds getting the epic pvp gear when you turn 70. Start saving up that honor.
I dunno why. I guess it's fear that messes me up, because there's no way for me to avoid being feared until I hit 66 and get cloak of shadows…
You'll still get feared. Stunlocking to prevent getting feared/CC'd is the key. Having Medallion of the horde/alliance helps too. Breaks all effects that control your character and only a 2 minute cooldown. Also, eventually garrote will silence your target for a few seconds. Best opening move on mages so they don't blink out.
BTW, I created a character on Moonguard for the heck of it since people on a community I post in are there, don't know if I'll ever do much with it though. RP always intrigues me but WoW sucks up enough of my time as it is.
@Mister_Anbu:
Prince becomes a cake walk once your Paladin gets geared enough, since of the three tanking classes, Paladins take crushing blows the best because they have 8 charges on their shield block while warriors have 4.
A bad geared Tankadin will be trouble though. :O
Yeah, his gear just isn't up to speed yet, he's got a random assortment of blues and epics but still a little low on the defenses. He will be an excellent tank eventually though. I've seen the same thing happen with CCing when I've been in mostly pugs with him, the other people start getting pissy because they want to CC and they'll just start randomly trying to CC stuff. XD I think sometimes he does bite off a little more than he can chew though. Yes you can hold aggro on them, but can the healer keep you up? And will that overzealous mage continually try to pull aggro off you and kite mobs? -_-
