PC error help

my PC seems to be running fne now… but this was wierd.
Last nightabout 11PM PT I was playign maple story and checking my Email when My PC Rebooted by itself

I got this message:Windows has recovered from a serious error
then a microsoft message appeared saying this:
Problem caused by Device Driver
You received this message because a device driver installed on your computer caused the Windows operating system to stop unexpectedly. This type of error is referred to as a "stop error." A stop error requires you to restart your computer.
I have no idea what a device driver is or what? does this mean my PC is damaged or I should ok using my PC still?
also mentioned something about kernels?

Your hardware has drivers which let it work with your Operating System. Basically, it allows Windows to work with your hardware.

One has managed to break itself, or it might be so outdated Windows can't work with it. I'd recommend updating your drivers, and hope it fixes the issue. Any clue what driver it was?

Never went to a strange site

Now its done this twice in a hour and it freaks me out.
this is a old PC that was given to me in Dec 07 and its only 2-4 years old.

i'd be taking it into a shop at this point. save anything important you need. or if you can, reinstall all the drives, or update them.

and if it is a driver that is broken, it doesn't matter, about internet and downloading. it isn't a virus, it's just that is doesn't work anymore. Kind of like when you burn a CD, after a while, it may not work anymore. It happens.

It's a problem with the graphics card. Find out what kind of graphics card you have and go to the website and update the drivers. Also, if you're getting kernel32 errors, that has to do with Windows itself. A fresh install of Windows itself wouldn't hurt. Just make sure you back up everything.

If you can get the EXACT error, PM me with it and I'll let you know exactly what to do.

the kernel thing i am getting now is KernalFaultCheck

rightclick on your desktop and choose properties.
click the last tag (dont know what its named in english)
you should be able to change resolution and some colour settings (chosing between 16 and 32 bit)

It should say what monitor and card you got there.

1. Go to Start -> Run

2. Type dxdiag and hit enter

3. Go to the Display tab

That'll tell you exactly what graphics card you have. Also, go on the System Tab and write down how much memory you have. the KernalFaultcheck usually indicates a memory dump.

Tried System restore like the troubleshooter said:Nothing
Graphics card is 12/04
i would try PC doctor for the problem but not sure what the driver would be under
(Audio,Other,Video,System,Storage)
