Something comes to mind now that I'm thinking about the future battle between Naruto and Sasuke.
Naruto basically threw sage mode away, unless he uses it in conjunction with kyuubi mode. So Naruto basically can't even use one of the only two techniques he uses. (I thought the point of the recent training was to control kyuubi I guess not) shit because if he didn't Naruto would be absurdly overpowered
So he basically let Naruto do nothing for two years with Jiraiya only to figure out apparently at the last second his main character stayed behind everyone else who actually progressed so he had to keep him relevant with nonsensical giant powerups
Sage mode will be used again in a THUPER TENSE STRATEGICAL FIGHT like the garbage against Pain where he had to waste our time with all the pseudo artificial suspense

Sorry but the reveal that the most blandest and dullest character in the series ( in both both personality and design) the most sexist, most unrelenting abomination in terms of her entire role in this manga would the complete downfall of this manga.
The fact that she can fucking heal people through people fucking biting her arms, that she was experimented(quite possibly molested by Orochimaru) the fact that she is a parody of retarded Sasuke fangirls that vehemently worships a fictional character and treat him as if he was real, speaks volumes. She's Kishimoto's retarded illegimate experiment that he failed to abort on time( in the idea processs) that he tried to make up for creating such an awful abomination of character( by having Sasuke almost kill her off) Like many female victims of 'Kishimotoism'(Aldrich would agree with me) she's essentaially a character to vent Kishimoto's childhood anger for not being popular with girls( even retarded Naruto fans that think what they're reading is actaul literature would agree) that Karin's persoanlity is a pyschological amalagation of all the girls Kishimoto strangled in his fanstasies, that rejecting him for prom because they didn't like skinny men, with curly hair and big lips so big he couldn't make his 'move'(unless he precumed on himself in his lonley meeting in the bathroom) She's essentially an angry exaggeration– a failed experiment that desires to greet death at its tranquil doorstep that wouild relieve her of her pitiful existence, death would be her savior as an existence as a shaded, nostalgic reminder of Kishimoto's once grim misogynist views of women before he got laid at the meager age of 30. Honestly the whole thought of Kishimoto making Naruto related to that is enough to send me in suspense(hoping he would not sink that low) then he ever did with this manga. Its a nightmarish reveal that will completely butcher the Naruto character and all good he did in part one would be erased completley.That plot twist of Naruto being related to that, would be the retarded blood-line equivenlent to Jubba the Hutt to related to Anakin.
Karin is Jabba the Hutt of the Naruto series.

Yes. Which lead to the current sad state of this series, but really though even without SASUTHUKE this story would have been fucked as evidenced with his usage of Pain(one of the worst shounen villans in histiory).

The editor can't be blamed for Sasuke. "The hero should have a rival" isn't bad advice. Hell, its pretty much shonen requirement at this point. It gave us Vegeta, after all.

It certainly would be shitty, but would it really matter at this point? Kishi started his new arc, It's already as terrible as the others (well, maybe not as bad as the pain arc, but you get me) and narutos lineage is a catastrophe, I don't think that you still can hurt the manga in a significant way.
The only really bad moment I expect from now on is sasukes redemption. -
