I would have actually preferred Konohamaru to use that jutsu against Pain instead of yet another Rasengan, which also looked incredibly half-assed compared to Naruto's (and yet managed to kill one Pain wtf?).

How fitting that these people looked like they were throwing up.
There's no continuity or flow to this ''war''. It's just Kishimoto making shit up on the go without any regard for how they should fit in his universe. This feels more like a chain of random events than a well-thought-out, properly strategized battle.
