Set Sail For Dub Piece, the New Topic!
-
-
9000% complete. SRSLY. The movie is THAT HARDCORE.
-
I'm more worried about the DVD at the moment.
-
Does that mean the movie so far is sucking more than any of season 1?
-
Does that mean the movie so far is sucking more than any of season 1?
Season 1 sucked? The movie is hilarious, but the progress is laughably bad.
-
Err, I phased that wrong. What I was trying to say was you said you were more concerned about the season 1 DVD opposed to the movie. That prompted me to ask if you thought the movie wasn't nearly as funny as season 1.
-
I think the movie is going to do fairly well, but it's just taking forever.
-
Light a fire under some peoples asses. That'll speed things up…or get the fire department involved. Either way, something's gonna happen.
-
You mean Dan should. Me and Royce are ready to dub whenever, but it's annoying to get Dan "again". Plus, it doesn't help when Steve lost the first 20 minutes of the movie ans his computer died and he's away for a week.
-
I cannot wait.
Epicness is almost here
-
Just an update: The test DVD is now fully uploaded to two people, which also means that if it happens to be the final DVD, that three people now have it and can seed the torrent file. It took about a day and a half for me to upload it to two people, so come release time, it should take a third of the time to download providing you have the bandwidth, and providing that at least 3 seeds are present.
-
I still don't have a DVD burner, maybe this afternoon.
A little of topic, I can kick anybodies ass with:
PM me if you want my code though…I don't want everyone and their brother clogging up my game play.:getlost:
-
Couldn't you just give your code out? No one would be able to clog your online play until you added their code right?
Unless SSBB is diff… idk.
Edit: 4 more days!
-
Throes, you did update the logo on the main menu right?
-
Yeah, quick question Throes. Do I put the two extracted folders onto the dvd? or do I have to just put the one file onto it?
-
The way I burnt it, I just went in nero, opened the iso and clicked burn. The disc seems to work fine on my computer, I just don't have a DVD player around to test it on.
-
Well good thing I have Nero.
-
To burn the image file to a disc, any of these programs should work just fine.

In the middle or getting Nero atm, waiting for it to finish to make the dvd.
-
Throes, I'd advise you to make a FAQ for this DVD. I know I'm going to get flooded with a bunch of questions from kids who are 15 asking how to work this.
-
Okay, I'll sit down and write one as soon as I can.
-
got the dvd working. noticed that if you use the older model of the ps2, the videos will lag most likely. don't know if its the same for the new slimmer model. but it definatly works on pc
-
Now it just needs to be tested on a pure DVD player.

Sean your on! On we wait till you come home Steve and watch it Tuesday night lol.
-
Sorry I can't really help with that as I have no real DVD players at my disposal up here. The only things I could test it on is an old PS2 and my laptop. My laptop plays it fine though.
-
I got 2 DVD players, but no DVD burner so I can't help you guys out. Sorry.
-
Buuhan you don't even have the DVD right now. :getlost:
-
I know that. I was simply saying if I had a DVD burner I could have tested it for you guys. I was simply saying "Sorry for being useless."
-
I have a DVD Burner, DVD Players, and both versions of a PS2.
I can test it if need be.
-

I'll try the 'ol PS3 out.
I think Mac OSX has some sort of ISO burning ability built in, i'll post a step by step guide for that w/e i figure it out.

Yeah, the OSX has that capability. But at this rate, it's easier just to wait for the official release. If necessary, I'll release a v2 of the DVD. Either way, this one works well enough for official release purposes.
-
I'm not gonna know shit about how to work this DVD so get that FAQ out ASAP.
-
Well, it's now only 18 hours until the official release of the Dub Piece DVD. At that point the FAQ will be released. But before I can create a good, comprehensive FAQ, I'd like to have your input, what are some of the more commonly asked questions? (Aside from, "How much will it cost?")
Also I promise this release will be kick ass.
-
Most people are probably gonna ask "What do I do with an .iso file? How do I play it?" and of course tell them the entire daemon tools crap.
-
What's an ISO?
How do i mount it virtually?
How do i mount it to a DVD so i can play it on my DVD player?
How do i download it? What's a torrent file? What's a good Bittorrent client for windows?
(if you use a Mac, Use 'Transmission').
-
Yeah, so I'm flying home in a little while, but I won't be home 'til 12:30 tomorrow morning. Then I have to go to school. As soon as I get home on Tuesday afternoon, I'll quickly make the last commercial for everybody.
-

Ew PS3, wtf man. But anyways yeah, the DVD is pretty awesome. The easter eggs are pretty win, so you guys will enjoy it. Only thing is you guys have to download a program that will burn the DVD for you. Nero is a good one if you want to buy (or pirate lol). But if you want quick and free I recommend Imgburn. I believe Throes posted the set of links a page or two earlier, but Imgburn is quick and easy to use, as well as small.

This post is deleted!

DVD Decrypter ain't that bad either. At least thats what I've been using for PS2 game burning.
Ew PS3, wtf man.
MGS4? Essentially for free?

So here we are, two years after episode 1 was released, it is released again. In DVD form. I am pleased to announce the Dub Piece DVD! Much hard work and time went into this monumentous release, so download, burn to a DVD, and enjoy that hard work on your TV!
Before anyone asks, the FAQ is behind the spoiler tags.
! What is a DVD?
DVD stands for Digital Versatile Disc, which is a form of portable storage capable of storing up to around 4.7GB of data on one layer.
! What is this DVD?
This is the DVD for the first season of Dub Piece, containing all 6 episodes, many extras, and even easter eggs!
! How much does it cost?
In order to purchase this DVD, you must sell your sole to the Devil. He keeps burning up his shoes, so he's always in need of new ones. Then you must put yourself or your girlfriend on the streets to sell money for sex, or sex for money, I forget which. Then you must pull your head out of your ass because this question has been answered over nine thousand times.
! Why the fuck is this file so big?
In order for you to have a DVD capable of playing on a DVD player, it must be in the standard DVD format, which takes up a lot of space. Most DVD movies use dual layered discs so they can store more data (up to around 8.5GB). This DVD was mastered for the more commonly available (and cheaper) single layered disc. But since that's still huge, the file size will be huge.
! What is an ISO?
An ISO file is an image of a disc, either a CD or a DVD, in this case, a DVD.
! How the fuck do I get this ".iso" file to play on my DVD player?
Well, burn the iso file to a DVD+R/RW via any of these useful iso burning software. I reccommend ImgBurn.
! I burned the iso file to the DVD, now why the fuck isn't it working on my TV?
Because you were an idiot and burned the .iso file directly to the disc, instead of using software to burn the iso to the DVD for you. Listen to directions.
! How am I supposed to download this DVD?
It's release is in torrent form, seeing as there is no online file hosting site capable of freely holding the 4.5GB of data necessary for the disc. Megaupload comes close at having a 500mb upload limit, but even then you'd be having to download 9 different files, extract the files into one larger file, and burn it from there. Much more of a hassle, for both me and the end user (you). If you don't know how to download a torrent file (by god I hope you do), I suggest you download and install a torrent program. I use µTorrent, but Azereus, BitTornado, BitComet, and others are fine too.
! Why the fuck is my download taking so long?
Well, on a decent internet connection, the file should take around 2 days to download at full download speed. When you're done downloading, do other Dub Piece fans and myself a favor and SEED IT. The continued existence of this DVD rests on your ability to seed. I don't care if you limit the upload speed to something inhumanly low, any bit helps. It lightens the load on other seeders, and makes it so people with faster connections can download the DVD faster.
! Why is episode 2 in widescreen? Wasn't the original release fullscreen with subtitles?
Yes, however I've been given explicit permission to use the widescreen episode for the DVD. Think if it more as a "Directors edition" episode 2.
! Why does it say there's a Japanese language track?
Because there's a DVD exclusive Japanese language track, DUH.
! Also, as a note, older PS2s have had problems playing the main episodes, but they work fine on a computer. And there is a commentary track for one of the extras too, so be sure to check that out. (Unfinished Arlong Arc Trailer)If anyone feels the need to add to it, please do. -

True, it is the only game that makes me even consider buying that P.O.S. system. Wouldn't be surprised if it came on 360, cuz rumor is FFXIII coming out for it. And DMC 4 did come out for it as well. But b4 we go off topic again :getlost:
Happy 2 Year Anniversary to TWSSP!!!!

TORRENTING THIS MONUMETOUS FILE NAO!
(BTW, come end of the year PS3's will probably be the most awesome things around, as the PS2 before it)
-
Small hard drive = no Dub Piece DVD for me. ;_;
-
Again, seed it when you're done, otherwise my internet will go out randomly (dad will disconnect it), and then people will have to wait till I notice it.
-
What up? Seed brah.
I would but I don't have a very stable internet atm. Any uploads or downloads disables my internet. Sorry! =(
Also, zero, give me your brawl code too. i wanna own you when your on -
didn't realize it's offically released lol. I'm helping with seeding now.
-
Nice work there my friend
-
lololololololol guys, seeding this DVD is raping my bandwidth. Excellent cover though.
