Looks like a great chapter.
I wasn't too fond of Brooke's flashback so far, but his last moments with the crew completely changes the perspective.
Also, Luffy's amazed smile when Brooke opens his skull is priceless, haha. -

I thought last chapter was the end of Brooke's flashback. It's still nice to see even more of the Rumba Pirates. Maybe once a full translation is out, there'll be a shocker.

Thanks for the chapter, BF and everyone else.
Oda really had a ton of powerful images in this chapter and I couldn't figure out which was strongest. We have Brook falling asleep and waking up alive with Yorki and his crewmates still alive, we have the triple version of the Binks Sake song (Rhumba crew in the Tone Dial, Brook alone and the present day one) and of course the scene where the Rhumba Pirates slowly die one by one until Brook's own death (well prior to the Yomi Yomi activation) So many amazing scenes that I just can't figure out which was the best!
As for Brook joining the crew…I want to say I'm certain now but after seeing the Tone Dial, I can't say just yet. Two weeks will help me process this.

LQ scan, but it looks like Brooke's bounty was 30,000,000.
I wonder if we'll ever find out who defeated them; 50 years ago, a bounty of 30,000,000 could have been a whopper, considering there weren't that many pirates back then. Plus, usually only pretty cunning or evil people use poison… so far we've seen only Croc and Krieg use it.
It's kind of touching how they played themselves off in style... with their favorite song. Of course, I'd expect nothing less of them.

But very touching chapter and the saddest past after Robin. -
The anime can make the scene so much stronger the the manga version.
the the song plays three time in diffrent places, their should make the song really good, then keep on playing it while the scene change, and the song ends with brook death.

LOL! Oda made me cry a lot already…be it for sadness, be it for grandeur.
From the moment I started seeing Brook's memories, I was happy that Brook was going to join the crew (since a character's - normally sad - memories is canon for newcome crewmates XD). Not only he's one of the best and funniest One Piece characters so far, but he's finally the musician Luffy always wanted. I remember that, in the beginning of the journey, Luffy said that "about ten crewmates" would be fine, so, is there any function still needed in a crew so we can expect yet a tenth character to join?
Captain, First Mate, Navigator, Sniper, Cook, Physician, Loremaster, Shipwright, and Musician. What do they still need?
Also, great job, BF-san! I just can't wait for the translation.

@FFA: I don't know see how you can tell what brooke's original bounty was. However, I'm fairly sure that the first two digits on his Wanted poster are 90. But that could be 90,000 or 90,000,000 for all we know.
In any case, that number isn't particularly relevant to Brooke's current position in the Pirate hierarchy. Who can say what standards they had for pirates back then or the kind of inflation there has been over the last 50 years? Also, he's considerably faster in skeleton form than in the flesh and that electrified brooke arrow against Odz shows his greater range of attacks. He'll probably be tied around Robin's level next time they earn new bounties.
Also does anyone else find it odd that Brooke was known as "Dead Bones" before he was even turned into a skeleton? edit--- oops my bad, that's the "De" from th "Dead or Alive" tag, not "Dead Bones."
Another oddity is that in last week's flashback, skeleton Brooke found the corpse of the spotted shirt kid with the Ace Ventura haircut with a sword through his skull. This week, he's able to smile and join a sing along before dying. How the hell can you look up and smile with a sword sticking out of your skull????

Amazing. You just don't get the depth of Brooke's pain and his struggle for 50 years until this chapter… He is truly one of the most creative and unique characters in any literary work. Congrats Oda!
I wonder if Brooke's bounty will be reinstated or if he'll get a new one?

Hey, you just beat me to it… twice! I was very confused when I saw that guy with the hearts around him o.ô And you're right, page 14 and 15 are very beautiful together... present and past time.
But I want to add something to Sanji's comment: In the previous chapter, Yorki told his crew to stop making these sad faces... maybe that's why Brooke's always so cheerful? Because he's still thinking about the words of his Captain to be a "Happy Rumba Pirate"? -
