As far as I know, RightStuf always ships out everything in an order at the same time, so you won't get either of them before they've got Season Two First Voyage in stock.

I'm not "Debating" anything, I'm just honestly unsure as to what they're gonna do as far as Arabasta is concerned, I'm just curious. I don't care either way, it's not a big deal for me, I just noticed we get "ARABASTA" big as day for every episode of the Arc once they arrive. I was JUST wondering if they'd change it to "Arabasta" in the dub, of if we'd get another Goofy moment like in Hellsing where you see "Arucard" written there, but everyone says "Alucard" in the dub.
But Alucard was the correct pronunciation. The Japanese tend to screw up when they spell things out in English. So are we not allowed to correct their mistakes (I know Alabasta is fictional, but you get the point)?
Although I think Arabasta would be best (since it's obviously based on Arabia), I thin Movie 8 was proof that they're going with Alabasta.

I really really don't understand the Vivi hate, I just don't get why everyone's so quick to bash her in topics where she comes up.
Agreed, Vivi's cool in my book. She rides a mighty duck into battle! And she has blue hair, which as we all know, means she likes to party.

Cobra is a pretty big role, especially considering that Kyle lives in CA and had to commute to TX just to play him.

It's more that she's the definition of a Mary Sue, is unoriginal, boring, and yes, irritating with all her crying. If it was Robin crying, I'd want to hold her and tell her everything is all right, but when Vivi cries, I wait for Luffy's fist to find her.

A Mary Sue is a character who is literally perfect. They're usually author Self-insertions, but not always.
The general Idea of a Mary Sue is
A: Everyone LOVES them and fawns over them
B: They are perfect, can do no wrong, and have next to no Flaws
C: They become Romantically involved with either the most Attractive Male, or the Author's Favorite male in the series.

She's weak.
At least, that's my problem with her.
That's one of the(many)things about One Piece that I feel elevates it above its predecessor DBZ. All of the main characters, while being of varying degrees of strong, are always at least strong enough to take on someone that the team is fighting, and win. This was a huge improvement over having a huge cast of characters, most of which were outclassed to the point of uselessness, and some of which weren't even combatants.
Vivi was, for awhile, looking like she might become a main character, and she was completely useless in a fight. I really just don't need characters like that in a shounen anime.
But, it's moot cause she turned out to just be an arc(albeit a ridiculously long arc) specific character. And it's okay if those are useless because they're there for story purposes.

Hmm…Reading that review made me think, since they're changing the box design for the second season, does that mean the menu style will change as well? Seems like it, since the box and menu in the current sets are all "Wood themed".

First of all, Vivi is awesome and if you disagree you can go die in a fire cause there's something wrong in your brain and whatever it is can't be allowed to spread.
Secondly, Vivi isn't any weaker than Nami or Usopp, which are the only other straw hats without either "monster strength" or a special power. During Alabasta, before Nami got her magic weather stick, she could have taken either of them.

Do you think Vivi, before meeting the Straw Hats (or even running off to infiltrate Baroque Works) was ready to really be her people's princess? I'm not really sure on this, but if she wasn't ready then I think everything she did helped form her into a better ruler.
A lot of the ruling powers in One Piece are without a doubt corrupted. Several Marines, Wapol, Enel, ect. Vivi, though arguably "corrupted" because she's friends with the Straw Hats (who are wanted criminals in the eyes of the rest of the world), still does everything for her people. The corrupted rulers and leaders are all doing things for themselves.
I also feel like her character could have a lot to do with Crocodile as well - he's in contrast with her. She represents a leader who wants to protect and help her people, and Crocodile clearly doesn't - he doesn't even seem to like the rest of Baroque Works very much (doesn't he say he never really trusted any of them? please correct me if I'm wrong).
Keep in mind she was never made a crew member, all of whom have something that can be seen as a personal flaw, trait, or failing that can be easily point out. Vivi? Not so much, but at the same time she didn't stay in the main cast.
She's not my favorite character but I certainly don't dislike her, though I can understand where people don't flock to her.

I think so. The flashbacks with koza and wapol certainly gave me that impression. If it wasn't for her cannibalism and whale hunting, she would have made for a good straw hat.

Vic isn't confirmed to be Brook. I had mentioned it to him that some people are thinking that he could make a good Brook. He immediately knew who I was talking about when I brought him up. I had to do a little demonstration of Brook's laugh beforehand so he knew what it sounded like.

Now see this is what bugs me about it. People are so quick to say she's such a whiner. I mean it's so easy to say she's whining over nothing, but you lack the empathy to see it from her view. She's a young, kind princess, raised in luxury in a peaceful kingdom when all of a sudden things go straight to hell. Does she mope around? No, she takes initiative! She's 14 years old! No combat experience, and she joins a ruthless criminal organization to set things right!
Just because Vivi's not as strong as Luffy and the others doesn't make her a bad character. In that final act, it's just bad thing after bad thing after bad thing, and all she is is a normal 16 year old princess, that at best, is a little athletic, hardly a warrior. I think that contrast between Crocodile and Vivi was spot on Dixxy. Playing Chrono Trigger DS recently (I'm still convinced Oda based Vivi off Schala) now there's a princess who couldn't stop whining.
Anyway, sorry for going off on that tangent. Man that clip is such a tease. Vic would make such a great Brook!

All over that. I heart Mike McFarland. In fact, if I were gay, the mancrush I would have for him transcends reality and all rational thought like the kind of gay mancrush you'd see in the Necronomicon. But, since I'm straight, he's just awesome.
Well, send in your emails to the Mignogna and make them convincing of why he should heavily pursue Brook. Heck, wouldn't hurt to send 'em in also to McFarland.

And how does that effect whether or not Jerry Jewel would be able to play Brook? Brook appears after Kaku drops from the story (unless there's a Kaku cameo I'm unaware of).
I do, however, agree that we should hear more from Mignogna as Brook before we start championing him for Brook.
Quite frankly I've always been a "Jewel for Brook" kinda guy but if for some reason Jerry couldn't play him, my second vote goes to Vic.
That video however confirmed it for me. Jewel first, Vic second. They both seem like they could imitate Brook's Japanese VA perfectly, it's just I prefer Jewel's singing.
