@FUNiOnePiecefan:
I'm agreeing with RomanGod. Not only is this forum immature (You say your opinion and you get insulted)
True, but both sides insult and are insulted. Don't assume being the minority automatically makes one the victim.
@FUNiOnePiecefan:
No matter what the situation, unless the series is properly advertised, it'll never get back on TV.
I think you're trying to say something different since from what I can tell in this thread advertising=TV.
@FUNiOnePiecefan:
What would happen then, One Piece falls into obscurity in america.
Roman, you never directly answered my question about what you meant by obscurity. Just wondering.
@FUNiOnePiecefan:
Also, you may be happy with the FUNimation dub, but don't forget, FUNimation got into the license not that easy, they can easliy say 'We're done' and halt DVD production. How, imagine if sales no longer reach what they expected. Also, I don't think of FUNi's version as uncut, but as 'uncut for fanboys' because of the amount of swearing in the english dialouge then there is in the subs.
What does Funi's difficulty in obtaining the license have to do with DVD production? Also, how did we get on the topic of Funi as a dubbing company? Yes, it's relevant to this thread, but you're trying to use it to enforce your point when it has little to do with our current debate.
@Mikey:
So the DVDs might be doing fine right now, but there's only one boxset out, so the ones who knew about it picked it up to check it out. Just wait until we get farther into them. They probably won't sell as well…
Aren't you just admitting that OP won't do well in the U.S. regardless of how people obtain it? I mean you're basically saying that after watching 13 episodes the majority of people won't have any interest in it.
On a final note, Roman, I think if you want this conversation to be at least semi-productive you should probably stop using the term "True Blue Anime Fan." Regardless of what you truly mean by it, it's coming off as an insult.
Now I'm going to add a smiley face because this topic needs it and I'm proud of myself for making a post with separate quotes for the first time.
