Lol yea it seems like its gonna be hard to hold onto to it and get a good grip while hitting so many buttons. The handles are too long >_<

[snapback]50163[/snapback]Design is one thing, but what's the use in looking good if you can't get a good, 8-hour marathon gaming, grip on the controller? It looks uncomfortable or hard to reach the buttons if you grip it at the handles.

O.o I have to say, the PS3 looks more like a concept art than the actual thing. Looks nice.
I heard that the XBOX 360 is about one inch smaller the original. Still pretty big.

O_o What's with the next gen consoles' controllers?! The XBox 360's didn't look that great and the PS3's doesn't either. But, as Zio mentioned, design isn't everything. But still….. I think the sides should be shorter. They should've stuck to the previous controller design IMO. Hopefully they will do something of the sort.
The font makes me think of Spiderman (the movie's). >_> I kind of wish the font would be running with the Playstation itself.
Ha ha, yeah, it kind of looks like a printer. The design reminds me of the XBox 360's in that the colours are nice, it's simple, it's compact, and looks modern. Although, there's something about it that's a little awkward. In the screenshots, they have three dif. coloured PS3's (White, Gray/Silver, Black).
Yes for Backwards Compatibility! Even though I don't play my PSX games on the PS2, I still think Backwards Compatibilty is a nice feature to have.
And..... that's it for now.

Well, I don't hate it. I really wish they didn't eff with the controllers though. I love my ps2 controllers. I'm really used to them and comfortable with them. I don't want to learn a new controller.
The specs themselves are impressive and damn if they didn't steal a lot of the 360s thunder with a quickness. Of course in the end its all about the games. I want to see more of what each console is going to offer in terms of games before I take sides (and nothing says I won't take all three sides like I did this generation). My only questions are will there be hd out other than hdmi and will I be able to do 1080i instead of 1080p? My hdtv only does component and if I can't have hd then I'm going to be more than a little peeved.
Backwards compatability is awesome. So glad its there. Too many great games that I don't want to have to keep my ps2 around for.

Huh, well… I kind of like the look of it, but the controller looks as uncomfortable as the 360... at least they'll use SPONGEY analog sticks though.
Frankly I don't really care what it looks like though, shows us the gameplay! :lol:

I'm amazed to admit that the PS3 underwhelmed me even more than the X360. At least the X360 has a new, innovative sounding game on it's side (Lost Odyssey.) Right now, it's looking like the only reason for me to get a PS3 would be MGS4, and Lost Odyssey sounds more appealing than that.
And I HATE that controller. A friend of mine put it best:
"Wow, that looks like every 3rd party controllers that tried to be cool but was never half as durable as the main brand controller"
Edit: Oh, and looking at hardware specs, the 360 and the PS3 are EXACTLY THE SAME. 3.2 Gig processor, 512 ram, etc. Icky.

That was just a tech demo. There are no plans to remake FF7 for the PS3 (Thank GOD. I'm sick of seeing that game.)

The only way that'll I'll ever stop loving FF7, is if someone shots me right in the head.
Technical demo, whatever. After seeing that, I want a remake even more. Hell, that opening is probably just a taste of what's under development.

besides if it was the greatest game ever then why would there be need for a remake ?i myself would love it if the didnt play the safe card by making a FF7 remake(thats bound to sell millions) and instead made a new equaly good or even better FF game that would make people shut up about how much the world needs a FF7 remake :lol:

What comes to mind instantly is, wasn't the PS2 selling around that much when it first came out? Or was it around $300? Either way, I remember when the PS2 first came out it was selling for some high prices.

PS1 and PS2 both started at 300, which is STILL too high for my tastes. For a console to warrant that price, it better have the best games ever.
Edit: What you're probably thinking about is those loons on eBay selling it for 500+ bucks.

Thus far PS3 has been the most impressive. Some of the games looks really cool (Killzone) and love the eyetoy support. 360 isn't bad either but Revolution has still things to prove. Although, I guess Nintendo will have a certain edge because of cheaper technology, I really don't have afford to pay more than 300 for a console.

Yes, apparently they will. I think wired controllers will also be released with/for them. The PS3 will be able to support up to 7 Bluetooth controllers (apparently). Why not 8? I don't know.
