Next week, One Piece: Episode of Sky Island will be air in August 25th. Maybe, we have more information from ending of it too.

Considering the fantastic staff list this month, I'm slightly worried about the quality of the episodes in September after 852.
Anyone else have a similar concern?

Well, next year the anime will have his 20th anniversary and I think, that the "huge announcement" will be something about the anime. There are 3 possibilities for the announcement:
- A new Movie –> The last movie was One Piece Gold" and that was 2016. So I think, that a new movie ist the highest favorite for the announcement.
- A new TV-Spezial –-> Well, although we have a TV-Spezial "One Piece:Episode of Skypiea", we could have also a new TV-Spezial for the next year. Why not?
- One Piece Kai –> Something like "Dragonball Z Kai" it would great, that involves removing filler scenes and adding some unanimated manga-szenes. Something like "One Pace" that condenses the anime into more accurate adaptations of the manga.
Anyway, the "huge announcement" will be definitely about the 20th anniversary of the Anime "One Piece" and I do not really care what it will be, but I hope it will be great

In sadder news I just read that Unsho Ishizuka, voice of Kizaru, older Joseph Joestar, Mr. Satan's second voice, and many, many, many, many, many, many others passed away from esophagus cancer. That man was so prolific and had such a distinct voice that's going to be impossible to replace. His death's very saddening and unexpected to hear, and it sounds like he was still recording roles in the midst of treatment which is nothing short of impressive.

Why have One Piece Kai when the show is still ongoing, and they're producing 2 hour long episode specials to briefly cover arcs?

I had no idea he was also Kizaru; I knew him best probably as Hohenheim from FMA. I guess that goes to show just how prolific he was.

The current opening has been running for 45 episodes until episode 852 so you are right it is about to complete a year … but some songs have more running episodes so I think they will keep playing this one until the end of this arc which I think it will end ... February 2019 at least

First, it have sky in the background, second they cant have pic from ep that will air in 1 month + dont try to play fool, you can clearly see sky in the background and i know you are reading manga, so you should know that g4 happen in mirror world and they will not be out from this place to the end of fight… Maybe luffy in chapter 885 but not in g4 form...
