Ignorant of the boundries of taste, I suppose. That sounds like an apt designation for Oda's art most of the time.

why would someone criticize the art itself? I mean I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but it is definitely better than the bland and uninspired artwork that you get from the other series.

Which they almost always do as long as they stick to the source material.
Filler scenes are fine with me, as long as they're pure filler and not trying padding to canon material. Like The extended Hodi fight with the second Red hawk…. -

Well it's hardly the first time Nakao has played the role of a mad scientist… Heck, it's not even the first time in One Piece that Nakao has played the role of a mad scientist. (Movie 10. And if my memory doesn't completely fail me, wasn't that missing father in the spa island fillers after Thriller Bark also a scientist?)
But yeah, I think pretty much everyone imagined him with that voice. -

I'd say Roshi is the most "likeable" perverted old man, but MOST perverted old man, I think, goes to Happosai from Ranma 1/2. Either way, I'm looking forward to all the character interactions that will occur in this special. Roshi w/ Nami seems funny already, but I'm really hoping for Roshi w/ Robin…that will crack me up. XD

Methinks that Toei is spending more of it's production expidentures on the Toriko Anime these days.
They're splitting the budget in-between the two shows, thus creating less than impressive animations and less smart ingenuity for episodes. That along with a simple lack of good imagination by the producers is why One Piece's anime is terrible right now. -

One Piece has never really had the animation it deserves… except for movies. And a few episodes here and there... -
One Piece has decent overall animation in comparison to most long-running anime I've seen. I think most people ask for too much sometimes.
