Nobody knows. The manga isn't finished yet, and doesn't show any signs of ending anytime soon, so at the moment, it's impossible to say exactly how long the anime will be.

Well, not all of the anime has been dubbed in English yet, but you can buy what's currently available at pretty much any store that sells anime and will ship outside the US. I recommend RightStuf, due to their low prices, frequent bargain-sales and quick delivery-time.

If you think about when the action really begins, it's in late 551, 550 is almost entirely exposition, so it's good we're not getting someone like Tate for that. I'm a bit disappointed that they're bringing out some mediocre guys for these early ones, but hopefully it bodes well for the later ones.

It's nice to see the series in different aspects and styles.

Actually 462 will suck in pacing if they covered less than 1.5 chapters. Even 1.5 is not enough and it needs a lot of filler.

So I hope they go for 2 chapters for the only-actoin chapters and the chapters with lot's of double spreads.

I just read on Daizenshuu that in today's episode of Dragon Ball Kai, Bin Shimada replaced Takeshi Aono as Kami due to the latter's hospitalization. So, I assume that we have our new Mihawk. From Wapol and Foxy to Mihawk…I guess that's quite a promotion.

Wait…that's just an assumption, as Crossword said. Just because Shimada replaced Aono in DB Kai it doesn't mean he will do the same in OP.

He also replaced Aono in Chibi Maruko-chan. He certainly has the range to play Mihawk, though.

Well, I'm apprehensive. The directors/writers/storyboarders are really going to have to pull their weight to avoid this becoming an unmitigated disaster. I mean, in the past they've shown enough sense to condense chapters where needed, like with Oars's defeat and the fight with the Flying Fish Riders, why not do that for chapters were so little, comparatively speaking, happens? We have close to a full-year gap, so I'm sure that they can afford it.

yes , and those series have ALOT of (main story) breaks to switch to filler stories…

At any other points, I'd say the constant filler-arcs, but considering the source material for this particular arc, going at a 1 chapter = 1 episode pace might be even worse.

The raw is viewable through a streamer like keyhole, and yes, usually someone links that one and a couple others. The subbed version comes out anywhere between 9:30pm and 11pm EST, so subtract 3 hours from that.

I'm thinking about taking an anime break so I can enjoy like 10 episodes at a time (the pacing is getting pretty annoying). Does that sound like a good idea?

Hmm. Well not positive. I never watch the raw version. I don't want to steer you wrong. Anyway, it's no doubt too late for me to answer. It's more based on what time it is in Japan, and of course adjusting that for daylight savings, since Japan doesn't do daylight savings. Anyway, once you know, you should be set.
