well i'm a ginger and this last winter one of my friend's started calling me gingerbread out of nowhere. so then someone else called me gingerbread man and it made me laugh so i decided to use it for my name. now i want to use this as a replacement for my youtube name (kakashisense15 who i don't even like anymore) but over the years ive gotten such a collection of videos i don't want to spend the time moving them all.

A combination of middle school idiocy and a typo.
-
The random name generator from kotor gave me this one. I just carried it over because I liked it (also happens to be the name of one of my favorite personal creations).

My avatar came first. Then the username.

i had no idea for a name when i was registering. the only thing i knew was that i wanted a simple name. after some random thinking, i somehow came across the name 'Monk.' that's about it.
-
Where I got my sig is how I got my username.
-
My username for here comes from the fact that i think the Yonkou are cool and would like to be one. And 3 is my favorite number.
My youtube/fanfiction name is Phantomfire. Because when i made it a few years ago i was into danny phantom and i just threw fire on the end.
My Tv.com/non anime forums name is J_ni11. Because J_ni is a real life nickname of mine and 11 is the month i was born.

Once upon a time, my sisters and I used to pull pranks on the Internet. We used to go to Nsync chat rooms and claim we were different members of Nsync.
We went from chatrooms to messageboards. And on message boards, we came up with a name: Insider.
After a fun while, Insider was banned. My sisters moved on, but I kept the name. I don't do pranks like that anymore (no point in it anymore). I added "2000" to signify "Version 2".
Being a writer, I've also named one of my characters Insider2000.

Pretty simple actually…Yang (Last Name) + Gangster (Not that i'm a gangster) = Yangzter...
-
Near the time when I joined the forums, I had the name Mr. 1 stuck in my head, and I got in a habit by calling everyone with a Mr. in front of their names, unless they were female. And I was a Zoro fan back then, but now I'm more of an Ace fan.

Shuurajou means a seen of great bloodshed/carnage, nuff said ;P
if shuurajou's taken, i just stick 'chan' at the end@Eat:
My avatar came first. Then the username.
LOL .____.

My name is Christiana 8D And Chrissie is one of the several nicknames I have been given on the net =w= It was just the first that jumped on my mind XD Thank God <<; Imagine me going around with 'Purple, Hair-Eating Penguin' as my username XD
-
I thought Kairouseki sounded awesome, so I used it for my username. For the most part I stick with Kairouseki on every website, but sometimes it's taken. Ex - My Imageshack username is Dan_Cooper, the name of the man that hijacked a plane and then jumped off with hundreds of thousands of dollars and was never captured. My Wikipedia username is La Stessa Cosa which in Italian means "The same thing" and was a name of the Italian mafia (along with Cosa Nostra which means "Our Thing" and sounds cooler but was taken  ). One of my characters on MGO is Simo Häyhä, who is the guy in my sig. He was a Finnish sniper who killed at least 505 (up to 542) people in 100 days using iron sights . His nickname was "The White Death" .
-
This username (sniperking323), was inspired by the hero of Sniper Island himself
!

"Shmeckie" was part of an in-joke among my friends back in 9th grade. Around this time was when I first got an internet connection, and we were in a kind of a race to register the name "Shmeckie." I won, adding "Lord" to it. So, Lord Shmeckie's been my online alias for all these years. Since One Piece is pirate themed, I changed it to "Captain" Shmeckie for this site! Corny, huh?
-
Well all my usernames revolve around the tenkaichi budoukai announcer from Dragonball, who I thought was pretty pimp for a minor character (and who wants to be another vegeta377697799 Xgoku45758X anyway?). My original name was Mr. Announcer which I still use in various places including Daizex and DA. As for my name here, when I was trying to come up with a new email address a few years back I think my first choices were taken so I tried going off the Japanese for announcer instead (shinpan no occhan as Gokuh would say) but since that's kind of long and weeb looking, I went with Shinpanman which was a play on the name of the hero, Anpanman (er…bean paste filled bread man), from the cartoon I watched as a child. That and I like confusing the hell out of people over my gender.

Palochka is the name of my communist party on a writer's forum I go on that after two years of creation eventually landed me as admin of the place. It's a Russian word for a letter in acrylic, but it can also be used to describe a curved line in calligraphy, a definition I find some poetic value in, considering it is a writer's forum and all that. I stuck with the name Palochka because, I dunno, I just like the sound of it.

Thread's almost a year old.
Anywho…my username's pretty obvious so no explanation. You can figure it out.
-
Because Pirates drink Booze! its a proven fact!
No age limit on pirates back in those days.
-
My all purpose username. A few years ago I was trying to come up with a cool username like other people have, and it just came to me.

Thread's almost a year old.
Shuurajou is quite the necro-poster but this is one thread I'm glad was bumped. It's always interesting to see people's stories.

I was thinking of Van Halen since at the time I had just bought a van halen cd, and also watched some cartoon that had this stereotypical german scientist and I liked the way he said the, therefore "ze". I wanted to show Van Halen had many fans and was very powerful, and for some reason I came up with army.
IMO, ZeArmyofHalen sounds so much better than ZeArmyofVanHalen or TheArmyofHalen or Halen's Army

I've been called smudge for years, solely because my surname is Smith

A friend of mine named TheOtherGuy444 and I were brainstorming names for a fantasy RPG we were writing called Kreeturez Legacy. One of the names I came up with was "Terek" which became the name of the central villain, a large cloaked demon. TheOtherGuy444 seemingly arbitrarily attached the name "Malintex" to it, so the demon became "Malintex Terek".
Incidentally, I published a demo of the game in 2003 but the executable seems to have been lost, since the server we hosted it on went offline since then. The RTP was originally packaged with the demo but I found it didn't work nearly as well with modern computers like it did back then.
This was the first forum where I used the name "Malintex_Terek", which was chosen because I remembered it and I wanted an alias that wasn't connected with other forums I browsed. Now it's my dominant screen-name.

A miniature version of Luffy is what I am. Really. :ninja:

I suppose I haven't done this yet.
Joonas is my real name.
Joska is one of the nicknames some likes to use.
Yoska just looks cooler and less mundane.I like it. It's simple. It's practical. Nowadays I like to usually use just Joonas, tho (I have even thought about asking if I could change, and I almost changed too when we had a forum reset). Real names rules.
But Joonas is often already taken when I try to register. And if Yoska is already taken too then I will go by YoskaR or Yoskathefish or something similar. Or J.J.. I have very recently become fond of that name.
-
I like swords. AndI just thought 09 would be catchy.
-
soi because of the way Microsoft Sam says it.
I have no idea why I added the 22 on the end.
-

My old school bag was manufactured by the Airflow company. When I was thinking of a name for another site whilst at school I glanced down and saw there logo. Tried Airflow, it was taken, added 101, profit.
-
Uh…I just wanted a nickname with "Star" in it...¬_¬. This was like 5-7 years ago though now, and it's just stuck. Fox (Randomly given nickname) -> StarfireFox (Lame RP) -> Stariana, which isn't quite so...meh. It's pretty damn unique at least.
It's awful reasoning I know. Awful username pattern too. >_<.

You guys can guess where it came from,i just liked Dark more so added Dark instead of Monkey. Is the name good or was better with MonkeyD.Dragon.

I made my e-mail address ichigostorm because I was huge into Bleach at the time and I really liked the meaning behind the name Ichigo. (One who protects). Storm is my real middle name and everyone's all the time telling me how cool it is. Since my email address was ichigostorm, I just decided that I'd make it my internet alias. So now I'm known all around the internet as Ichigo Storm. (Except on a Sonic board that I joined before I made the email address. There I started out as Super Nack and am now Nack-San.)
Of course because I love One Piece so much, I figured it'd be appropriate to add a D. in the middle of my alias whenever I joined a One Piece forum. And I did! When I joined here and over at Fun Piece Forums
-
Because that's exactly what I am!

Zkaiser: I'm the last king.
Dogado12: I'm the 12 dog god.

From Kamen Rider. I guess because of the Rider part where if it was spelled Raida would be like Raider. Or maybe it has to do with generalizing bandits, pirates, explorers, etc. into one term because they all raid someplace to get something valuable right?

Aslan means lion in turkish and lions are awesome like me.

Perhaps C.S. Lewis was a fan of the Turkish Language ?
And on-topic -
Kuma + Terminator = Kuminator

I joined up on these forums last year around may. This was also the time where Metal Gear 4 was on it's way. Most of my forum participation was in the thread for that game. But a misconception about my username was that the irreguler spelling of Gecko was reffering to the enemy unit in MGS4 known (and spelled) as GEKKO. This is not the case.
The particular spelling of my username comes simply from a codename for a character I roleplayed as for modern d20 (a very fun d&d variation btw!). he was quite an awesome character and that's what I thought of for my handle. It's also my handle on youtube, PSN and a few other places.
the 135 comes from me not being able to just choose "Gekko" in a few places… so it just stuck from then.

As I mentioned a few pages back, I pretty much pulled this name out of my ass when I signed up. I think it's okay. Not too long, doesn't have any crazy stream of numbers to remember, isn't embarrassing… And the irony is that I don't even like crossword puzzles!
