I got into the series last August, when I had the $20 in my wallet and was debating whether to get Phoenix Wright or another game (can't remember which one). It's pretty obvious as to which game I got, and all my doubts were locked away with that newspaper subscription salesman as I completed my first case. I also grew to like Phoenix Wright, as he certainly is a unique character (Not to mention that you read his personal monologues), and because his suit is blue, just like my favorite color.
Also. This has been bugging me, but don't take it personally. I mean no harm.
The series (both Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice) in whole is called the "Ace Attorney" series, and the first game is just called Phoenix Wright. When Apollo Justice rolls around, people will call it Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, but it'll still be just called Apollo Justice if you're referring to the first game in the Apollo Justice sub-series. Kinda see what I mean? ^^;
@maikeru22:
cases 4 & 5 are my favorites on that game, you've got a lot more fun ahead of you
In my opinion, case 1-4 was better than 1-5, since 4 seemed like it ended the main story of the game, while when I played case 5 it was like "Well, all the excitement with Edgeworth is done, let's just play this case for fun". It was as if it didn't really have to do with the other cases in the game, but it's understandable as to why.
Don't get me wrong though. That case was amazing. Gant had me stuck for a while, that little bastard…
@Crossword:
And the whole thing
! foreshadowed Apollo Justice, what with the faked evidence and whatnot..
! I've beaten the case, but I'm not clear on how it foreshadows Apollo Justice… I do remember Gant saying something important to Edgeworth, but I just can't remember it....
