Does anybody know of any? The only one I've ever come across is Yaguchi Mari. She was a pretty popular idol (not that she still isn't) when she was a Morning Musume member, but after she resigned she disappeared for a few months and came back by hosting variety shows, MCing and acting in dramas.
I LOVE how outspoken she is for such a tiny person, and she's a pretty die hard fan (she has a lego version of Thousand Sunny in her room xD). Aside from the promoting she did for Movie 8, she co-hosts an OP Special Corner radio show. It's pretty fun to listen to if you understand Japanese.
Here's a short interview of sorts with her at the One Piece Beach House (which looks like fun xD I sooo have to go there one day). And I couldn't stop laughing when she said that she was walking around naked in her house because of the heat wave. But anyways, on the right there's also links to the radio show I was talking about.
