Entire crew sans Luffy, after they've had a pretty big fight already. Depending on how powerful Kuma is, he could actually be worse than the early parts of the new world. Heck, for all we know, Kuma is actually the strongest fighter in the Shichibukai and the 2nd most powerful fighter alive. (Behind Whitebeard and maybe Blackbeard soon.) Or he may not be, we don't know for sure.
I think the Straw Hats are ready for the New World. Keep in mind, the Straw Hats fought well against Odr without even having Luffy at first, and they brought him down with Luffy and some help from the Rolling Pirates. Moria, the same person who told the Straw Hats they weren't ready, also believed that Odr would have given him the power to defeat Kaidou, one of the Yonkou. And the Straw Hats defeated Odr, with a bit of help.
Moria sold himself short, I think, because of the horrible experience he had in the New World. He was once a rival to a current Yonkou, so his defeat probably means the Straw Hats are getting close to the Yonkou. Now, they needed some help, so they aren't quite on Yonkou level yet I think. But I doubt that the only pirates in the New World are the Yonkou, or that any pirate not quite at their strength is instantly killed.
Remember how Smoker told Luffy he'd never make it in the Grand Line if he couldn't defeat him? Well, we all know how that turned out.

Whatever Oda do is good, but I am a little tired of the crew either being saved or running in the end of the arc.
Being saved from Smoker by Dragon? Cool, it was a nice way of introducing Dragon and making Smoker badass without showing much fight. Smoker was even the first Logia Luffy met.
Escaping from Hina? Cool, it was a nice touching scene with Bon Kurey, and also made Hina seem like a threat by Kurey's reaction toward her.
Being spared by Aokiji? Wow, that Aokiji guy was badass, and made this game of pirates more dangerous. Aokiji was a taste of what was to come.
Running away from the Buster Call? Ok, it was a losing fight against an enemy that was more than a strong fighter. Five vice-admirals and 8 Warships remaining, and the crew was exausted.
But really… do we really need another defeat/run right now? Kuma has proved he is badass already, and has more chapters to show that he is not kidding around. And I am not even expecting to Zoro or Sanji or Usopp or whatever to solo him: I am expecting the whole crew to show him that they are not messing around either. I don't mind if Kuma retreat to appear later i nthe series, but I would like to see him realizing that he may not survive if he fights alone against the whole crew.
By the way, in the spoiler thread it was revealed what Kuma was saying by the end. He proposes to the crew that he will let everyone go away if they surrender Luffy to him. The crew (and the Rolling Pirates) refuse, and then Kuma blows everything. That's one more reason for me to think that the crew should win: they should be able to defend the captain when he is helpless.

They didn´t lose the fight though. They were able to get some BC ships nearly destroyed while riding a caravel that was breaking appart. Quite a good job for an exhausted crew.

Yes, we need another defeat/run now because as I said they are friggin exhausted. Odz squashed them two times before he lost. And before Odz came they were already fighting General Zombies and their leaders. If they emerge victorious now, while being anything but fit then this would be the biggest and most ridiculous power up ever to happen in a Shonen Manga (and I know there are many of that kind already in other series).

It´s basically the other way around as it was the case with Aokiji. Luffy went one on one so that Aokiji wouldn´t touch his crew. But Luffy still lost in the end. Don´t see why the outcome should be different if it´s just the other way around this time.

I'm guessing his paws are super hard. And he has super "pushing" powers, so he's just pushing the stuff back at them.
At least that's how I think it is. It really isn't a very logical power, but it makes sense. He's pushing the air with his paws, and makes a paw shaped explosion. When he makes the big one, his paws are pushing the air together to make a really big paw.
Like I said, that's just how I interpret it, but who knows.
Until a translation comes, Boiga, it is hard to tell.
From the spoiler thread, it seems that Kuma can move air at incredible (maybe light) speed, creating pressure. He can also deflect anything by moving the air in order to change the target's path. There is no explanation about what he did to Perona, and why that question he asks may be important. Some people think that maybe the bible itself may have a Devil Fruit that he uses for teleportation, but this in unconfirmed.

The point is that´s exactly why it wouldn´t be good storytelling to make Kuma have anything else but the upper hand. Statements like that you can´t be sure of an outcome of a fight make him appear like a cautious character. Additionally to that he just witnessed Moria (who´s bounty exceeded his own) and Odz going down in front of the Strawhats. He most definitely won´t take them lightly even if he knows he has the upper hand now.
Now combine these characteristics with the fact that he a) is a "guest star" at Thriller Bark and not the actual antagonist and b) that the Strawhats are exhausted. Ok, you say that they don´t have to defeat him. But anything else then him being at superior would actually ruin what the character represents so far. It would be a far bigger waste of a character then Zommari has been in Bleach.

I have a new weird theory about Kuma's fruit. The idea is that the fruit was used by someone in the WG way in the past, and was part of the basis for the Rokushiki techniques that CP9 uses. Rokushiki being the result of a special training technique that allows for weaker versions of the Devil's Fruit powers to be used by other people.
Kuma's "teleportation" is the base of Soru. His surviving Sanji's kick with no effect is the technique that led to Tekkai. His pressure gun and air manipulation led to the creation of Shigan, Rankyaku, Geppou, and Rokuougan. Kami-e was developed from some ability of Kuma's fruit that we have yet to see.
Related to this theory, but potentially separate, is the idea that Kuma's fruit is in fact in a 4th class of Devil's Fruit.

The point of all of those attacks where they were simply "super"human. they CAN'T be some product of DF. Because 1) They would have mentioned that 2) Some of the CP9 kids had other DFs 3) What the hell are you smoking? 4) there is no fourth class of DF. That would be the worst plot hole yet.

However, Brooke concerns me a little more. Yes, he was in the chapter, yet, does anyone find it weird that he didn't say anything? Or that he didn't even move? Considering that everyone is stunned by Kuma, it seems odd, and the fact that Oda draw him I think means that he simply didn't forget to give him a part in this chapter. Hell, he could have easily been in the group shots, yet wasn't.

I think that being able to push air and compress air are part of the fruits powers, but the strength of the punch and the shockwave are due to Kuma's own strength. I'm not surprised that hes so strong with a 20 ft tall body and an intimidating upper body. The hardness of his body and his teleportation may be due to his own ability. And if you say he cant move fast because he has small legs compared to his body, look at Luffy. He's short and skinny but he's one of the strongest pirates in One Piece.
I have to agree that teleportation and a true iron defense are abilities not from DF. The nikyu fruit only allows Kuma to use air pressure to attack. However, I don't really think Kuma's attacks move at light speed since physically that doesn't make sense. It does make sense that air pressure waves can move extremely fast.
Well, we still need to explain how Kuma teleported Perona away.

Anyways, I think you misunderstood. Some members of CP9 having their own fruits would mean nothing, because I was simply speculating that the Rokushiki techniques were inspired by the abilities of a particular fruit. It would be no different than if someone saw Luffy's Gear 2 technique and the way it increased his blood flow and performance, and developed a drug that produced similar effects. (Albiet weaker effects that a non-rubber body could survive.)
As for the 4th class of Devil's Fruit, that wasn't totally serious, but was inspired by the comments about how cute a name Kuma's fruit had, and Franky's question about a "cute" class of fruits. I just thought it would be funny if Kuma's fruit actually was in its own class. And really, has it ever been specifically stated by Oda that there are only 3 types of fruits? Maybe it was in a SBS, but assuming it hasn't been stated, the possibility of a 4th, extremely rare type, isn't too far fetched. After all, not all that much is known about Devil's Fruits in the OP world, and there are misconceptions and myths about them as well.
Now, I don't know what would be different about Kuma's fruit that would separate it from a paramecia type. So it being in a different class isn't something I expect.
