grandbattle rudh dont take long at all well atleast not in the gc system. you'll like gbr tho
Oh, I saw some bitches at GameFaqs whining about no animation and the opening being 'opera music'. Obviously they never saw Battle Royale. The OP and ending theme definately rock.
Opera music? If they mean orchestrated music… <3
And since this is only for PS2, I decided to get a Slide Card and GBR (It was on sale if I bought them together...).
But I'm sure it'll be slow, as it's on PS2... sigh
I hope it's at least as fast as Crash Team Racing or Crash Bash, but I shouldn't get my hopes up... >_>
But I'm sure it'll be slow, as it's on PS2… sigh
You mean frame rate or control??
I've had no problem. It controls great.
The loading is killer.
No, like loading stages and stuff… >_>
points to Crash Bandicoot 6 and Roller Coaster Theme Park
What's sad is that I now have more JP PS2 games than EN ones...
This game is way to slow for me. I agree with this game being allright. But that's it, it's allright. It's not terrible, but it's not something to jump up and down for either.
If the game were as fast as when you hit triangle to speed up, mabye I'd like it a bit more.
Pros: "Flanky" is in it, good graphics.
Cons: Average game at heart, nothing really sticks out, which is a shame.
Do they consistently use "Flanky" through out the game (as opposed to just being contained in that opening)? If so then I'm even more glad I skipped on it..
sigh
I'm gonna get it tomorrow!
BTW,approximately how long does the loading time take?

I'd assume so, since "Enel" stayed the same.
They say "Flanky" only in the opening, at least to my knowledge. When he is fighting, the name under his health is "Franky".
Which is even stranger as to why they left the Flanky in.
I'd assume so, since "Enel" stayed the same.
Well, Enel's been used for years. At least we know for sure that FLANKY is wrong.
So the characters of this game are only the ones seen on the official website? Are there no more than that? And can anyone post a download of the intro that actually works?
_> I heard that there are 1-2 more secret characters, but I'm not sure…

They must of had a different team working on the animated bits or something.
May be a bit late, but Go Flanky! Feeling Supel?
Anyone gotten any other characters? The only one I have is Crocodile
the video's made this game look very very fast paced, is this game fast past.
The fighting itself can be intense, but it isn't exactly fun. It just happens. There aren't any supers to pull off of any kind and even if you do manage to do a relatively complex finisher link attack, it "rewards" you with a zoom-in effect….oooooh.
@sogeking86:

I've only gotten Eneru and Crocodile. I love using Eneru… he is awesome~!
I really like the idea of the GAMBLE mode, I just need to get the hang of surviving all those fights.
Haven't played much of the game, but can you just button mash to beat the game? Seemed to work for my friend against me…
Lol I haven't tried Gamble mode yet…who's a good one to use?
I like using Nami or Eneru… but its tough! Its just like surivial modes on other games, only you are betting your Beri.
Heh,this games pretty good, cep't its too freaking short.
Gamble mode is okay.
And Franky….ohhhh yeah.
The game is fun but I'm a bit disappoint with intro and ending.(both aren't as fun as in Grand battle.)
I got 30million bery now>__<(still not enough to buy anyone.)
The game is meh. I'm real glad I didn't pay for it cuz it's def. not worth $64. Getting all the characters will be tough. Gamble mode is harder than holy hell if you actually want to triple your winnings. I've only gotten Croc and Smoker so far.
Does it have an anime intro?
I can't bring myself to play this… But I do want Franky...>_>
No anime intro. Just some opera music with game shots, and still shots of the characters
I got Eneru…^_^ He's fun to use. Any other suggestions? I still need Smoker, Ace, Aokiji and Franky...(I am leaning towards Ace)
How much does Franky cost?
300,000 - he is the most expensive character in the game.
I'm trying to resist buying him right off the bat, but I don't think I can hold out much longer.
I'm still glad I passed the import on this one, because the feedback sounds a lot like I thought it'd be.
Yeah, it wouldn't say it was worth the $64 + insane shipping, but I do enjoy it. Its fun when I have a bunch of people over and we all take turns on the arcade mode.
Meh, lesson learned. Though, I'm still satisfied with it overall, so I can't complain too much.
I am starting to like it more, since I can actually combo some moves in now…^_^ Sanji & Zoro are my favs
See… This is why I don't import. I'm sure you guys don't like the game. You just want to like it because you paid like $70 on it. (hell, I'd do that too if I bought it.) Meh... Importing is not worth it. I knew this game would be bad.
Importing isn't bad at all. Don't knock it till you try it. Example: GB: Rush and Treasure Battle were totally worth it.
Anyway, I bought Franky the other day. He's pretty fun. And the triangle combo shit is pretty useful.

For your information, I didn't import it. I "acquired" it from sources…
Meh… I don't like spending more than $50 on a game. That's why I really don't import.
Well, most N64 games were $80 when they first came out, and people nowadays think that's insanely high. Just wait until PS2, XBOX 360, and the Revolution come out. >_>

But I DO like the game, though I personally feel it didn't live up to its hype.
If I really didn't like the game, I would be bitter and rant about it. And you all would know about it.
Meh… Importing is not worth it.
I may not be much of a Naruto fan anymore, but Narutimate Hero 2 is FUCKING AWESOME.

What TheDude said, don 't knock it until you've tried it. I couldn't be more pleased with the imports I've made (Grand Battle Rush, Jump SUperstars).
My word of caution is to not go import crazy unless you have a really good sum of money. What I did with this game, was I found as much info and footage of the game I could before importing it. When I heard about the fighting system, it sounded way too messy and throwntogether that I didn't think it'd be a good fighter, and from the footage I saw the action seemed very generic, like a crappy SNES/Genesis era fighter. So I decided to save my money this time. BUT! I plan to buy that Osu! Ouendan game for DS when I get the chance.
So importing = good if you're smart about it.

No Narutimate Hero 2 is the PS2 game, the one you are talking about is Naruto Gekito Ninja Taisen 3 for Gamecube… I suggest you wait for the 4th one, since it will be out by the end of this year.
really they actually put a release date on it. on play asia its tba. besides whos gonna be in it. since the anime isnt up to part 2 yet.
Yahoo! my copy finally arrived today (NEVA ship stuff via USPS Global Priority to save a few bucks… AGAIN) :banghead:
ahem
Uh, yeh.. ok. After sitting down with it for the last two hours or so, initial impressions aren't too hot. I'm fairly underwhelmed by the overall game, though impressions here have already cushioned me a bit for being completely disappointment.
It's graphically quite solid, there's some noticeable slow down now & then, inbetween character doing that berserk combo thing, but overall the game looks really good. Ok, BGM is just ungodly awful, just generic garbage that would drive you to put a bullet into the back of your skull. Which is odd, since they used that awesome piece from 'Battle Royale' at the start & another nice orchestrated piece in the end credits, So what's the dealio? Did the developers spend all the music budget on acquiring those two songs or something & had nothing left over for the actual in-game? I'd definitely suggest, turning the BGM level to naught before you start the game.
As for the in-game combat, well… what to say really? It's generally not fun, fairly tiresome after while. There's a nice variety of moves, but as said before the most powerful attacks can be executed anytime from anywhere. I don't really like using that grapple combo system, though.. I guess when I get a little more experienced with the game, I'll use it more.
I've unlocked Crocodile so far, just playing through the 'fighting' mode, might try my hand at the gamble game later, 'cause I wanna buy Flanky like... ASAP! But yeh, at 300k, that may take some time & training. Oh yeh, I'm using Usopp of all people as my main character, mainly I'm playing turtle-style, just keeping my distance hitting guys with his cactus star, which does a great deal of damage. But yeh, hopefully I can get a few more characters tonight.
I got it too… It's pretty fun, but being my first fighting game besides SSBM, I guess my opinion doesn't count much. XD
I'm not sure how to unlock people get, so... yeah.
It took me like 2 hours to get enough to buy Franky. I guess it was worth it. Haven't played the game in like a week or so.
I'm not sure how to unlock people get, so… yeah.
You get cash for every match you win the 'fighting' mode. Normally you'd make between 30-40k if you clear the game in beginners rank & once you have made enough cash, just goto the character select screen in either 'Fighting'' & or the 'Gamble' modes and simply select the silhouette of the character you wish to purchase.
The price order goes:
Franky - 300,000,000 Berries
Ao Kiji - 250,000,000 Berries
Ace - 200,000,000 Berries
Enel - 150,000,000 Berries
Smoker - 120,000,000 Berries
Crocodile - 81,000,000 Berries
