I'm playing a joke on a family member this Christmas, because he suggested this in a way and I want to test him. He works as a computer guy at a couple places, but I want him to see if he thinks I'd take his selection.

See, I got him a game, and he's reluctant to play. He tried multiplayer once, but he sucked at it, because he'd never played before. I gave him an image so he could set up a game controller to work on his PC, but he hasn't done anything since.

He was joking and said "You could run a batch file to constantly run the .exe but I'll be able to counter it".

So that's what I'll do.

Now, can someone with experience in Batch files tell me how to run an executable over and over again, in a way that can't easily be stopped?

Open notepad and type this in:

:BEGIN
START /MAX  C:\"path to the app here"
GOTO BEGIN
```Have fun, it might be easy to stop, but it will prob crash his comp before he can do anything. Altho he needs to run it haha.

also use .bat instead of .txt for the file ext.

is he supposed to rename the notepad file after he typed that in? the instructions seems a bit incomplete to me as a total noob in theese matters.

Can I save it anywhere or does it need to be on the desktop?

you can save it anywhere, all you need is to save the notepad file with a .bat extension and thats it. its really that easy.

Well it ALMOST worked. I thoguht he had security on his computer and he locked it up before leaving. Turned out, I unplugged his USB hub instead of his external hard drive, leaving me without a mouse and keyboard.

Otherwise, it would have worked. Now I'll wait for my next opening, and try again.
