How do I do it?
I want to transfer some of the tv shows I have storred on my computer onto discs I can play on my DVD player. I know there has to be some way to do this, but obviously I'm clueless about it. Plus, I'm not too good with modern technology, so I'll need a detailed explanation on how to do this.

do you have a dvd burner and a burning program?
I don't know about a burning program but I did check my computer and it has an E drive called DVD RW. That might be it.
Is there a specific type of disc I need to buy? Also, what burning programs would you recommend?
You'l probably need a DVD R disc of some sort. cheack on your drive if it supports + or - or both. (no i have no idea what the difference is. i think both works about the same but some drives only support one format for some reason.)
I guess Nero could be usefull. the only one i really know about.
I'v never burned anything to be used in DVD players. I'v allways burned the files as files but nero has some kind of option to burn as videos. I have no idea how that part of nero works though. (you could probaby find a tutorial somewhere that explains it though.)
I bought a bunch of DVD-R discs from the DYNEX label. I downloaded Nero. The only problem is that the DYNEX dvds don't seem to work in my DVD player, even when blank.
Now, I need someone to recommend some good DVD-R discs.
Are the discs DVD-R minus or plus? did you cheack which one is supported by your comp dvd player?
I'm not talking about the DVD player on my computer, I'm talking about the one hooked up to my TV.

First off: Nero is not a good burner for DVDs. You have to use DVD Decrypter.
As for a good DVD-R mark, can I recommend MaxPrint? I use them to make my DVDs and they work pretty well.

Hmm, so the problem is the DVD player… let me give you these steps:
1-You need to have a program called TMPGENC. It is a video converter that turns video files like avi to mpg2, which is the wanted format to make a DVD.
2-After coverting all your videos to mpg2, go to TMPGENC DVD Author. There, you will have instructions and options to how to build your DVD, like menus, creation of chapters and such. After you did all this, the program will make two folders; it will be called video_ts and audio_ts.
3- Put the two folders in an ISO file and next burn them in DVD Decrypter.

I can't find maxprint. Not in stores, not on Amazon, not anywhere.

Sorry, I made a mistake to recommend you MaxPrint. I thought they sold to all the countries, since the company is from Hong Kong.
