I doubt this as 1) It's a BIBLE 2) the point of the yod is so that you don't actually touch the pages. Since it's a bible, which is a bound book you have to flip the pages and thus touch them. The Torah is a scroll, which is turned to get to the rest of the story, thus not have to be touched.I know why they use the yod thingy. But it doesnt have to work the same way in the world of OP as it does in the real world. I don't have a reason WHY he would use it.

Current Theory.
Kuma and Zoro will have a small stand-off where it will appear Zoro is holding his own. (yes, i'm a zoro fan boy
) Then Kuma will realize he has to take Zoro seriously, and will put him down. Then Kuma will turn to the rest of the SHs but first Sanji will try to rescue Robin and Nami-chan and will be put down as well. Then Franky will fall, and the chapter will end with the remaining SHs in impending doom and we'll have to wait 3-weeks for the continuation... MUhahahaha!WARNING (Explicit Dialog)!!

Actually I'm assuming that the SH are going to be saved by someone else. I mean, after that physically and mentally exhausting battle, how the hell are they supposed to take down ANOTHER shichibukai? Zoro for sure can't do it, seeing as he fought Ryuuma and then Oz… I sort of want a Yonkou (Kaidou...?) to come into picture, disgusted by Shichibukai, and just beat up Kuma. Or maybe he will be neck to neck w/ him, and the SH can have a chance to escape.

Pretty good set-up chapter. Zoro stated that he would take care of Kuma and it seems these two will face off next chapter.
As for the "who is giving Kuma the order to waste everyone on the island" business after reading the chapter it was said that a Marine was giving the order and they are World Government.

I can see him at least helping stall him. I was thinking about Brook's fruit here, (hang on, going FFA on you bitches), yomi yomi, which essentially is the life fruit. It'd be sweet if he was able to temporarily extend the flow of life the fruit gives him to corpses him. Maybe see him revive his dead crewmates temporarily to combat Kuma and have their blessing to set sail with the SH.

After reading through the translations thread it seems that Zoro told all the SH's to stay back, that he will handle Kuma. Before you know it Kuma is right in front of Zoro and Kuma plans on wasting Zoro first. That right there should be obvious we have a fight on our hands. Now people speculate that Zoro will get pwned and that this won't be a fight and someone would have to interrupt the massacre but the way the chapter ended it seems we have a Zoro vs Kuma on our hands.
Luffy beat Moria and Kuma faces off against Zoro, if Zoro beats Kuma no doubt about it, Luffy and Zoro's bounties will sky rocket. Don't know how the governemnt is going to keep that a secret if Kuma gets wasted as well.

Brilliant chapter. It amazes me that even after the supposed ''climax'' the arc is still going strong.
Kuma displaying yet another awesome power in an arc filled with them, the cleverly told side-story of Cindry's shadow owner, little pieces of new info here and there….it's this kind of stuff that makes One Piece so rich week after week.

Zoro is taking what he sees as his responsability: with the captain out and a powerful enemy threatening the crew, he is going to fight. (Not that he needed the responsability in order to challenge someone, but Kuma is not the normal kind of target that Zoro normally seeks.)
Any way, I vote for Kuma down in at most three chapters.
Wano predictions: There will be 5 acts; All Straw Hats will get fights, some in Act 4; Big Mom Pirates will arrive; Carrot will have her moment, but won't join; Yamato will be a Kouzuki samurai and Wano's Guardian; Shanks will visit Luffy in Act 5; Next arc is Mary Geoise.

Zoro is taking responsibility as the first mate. Since the captain's down, he's the next person in command, so he has to take charge. Plus, Zoro's not one to back down from a fight.
Now whether he would win or lose is up to Oda. But I don't think he would go down that easily. But hell they are a bit tired.
But, maybe it's going to show by beating Kuma that they really are ready for the new world. or something along the lines of that.
But I still think something is going to interrupt this fight.

As for that guy whining over "Zoro hate", losing to Kuma at this point has no effect whatsoever on his future destined battle with Mihawk, or any of the SHs future battles for that matter. Hell, Mihawk and Whitebeard could probably slaughter Odz, yet the SHs just got done beating him in a team battle. We have a long series going on here, the SHs don't have to prove they're ready for a story arc that going to occur in maybe 400 chapters. Obviously, the SHs need to get bailed out of this fight or escape somehow.

I know that in the chapter it states that everything on the island was like a nightmare and is disappearing, but what if the title is hinting at someone finally dying. I highly doubt it, but it could happen. Personally I think that Zoro will win even with all his fatigue and everything else, because it has been a big part of Zoro's character in the past to get stronger the closer to death he is and the more tired he is.

All right… so many holes... so little time
- Zoro told them to stay back, in the way a big brother is protecting his little brothers from a mugger: desperately. Zoro is the strongest one left, so he has the best chance of taking him down. However that chance is near zero. Zoro will NOT defeat Kuma, just delay him to buy enough time for the Deus Ex Machina.
- There will be no more bounty rises for a while. a) they just had a HUGE one b) the marines are keeping this whole thing quiet, that's what we just heard. They can't increase the bounties without explaining things.
- Since Zoro's fight with Mihawk is gonna be his final fight, it's gotta be cool and desperate. And even if Mihawk IS the strongest SBK, Zoro being able to take out Kuma here would be too quick a rise in his power.
Unrelated note: Am I the only one who thinks that Kuma's power is NOT telelportation? But something COMPLETELY unrelated? The fact that the world teleportation was used in this chapter makes me doubt it even more...
