The Water Horse

We in America have all seen the commercials. "From the author of Babe' blah blah blah blah. But who here is actually going to see it?

I admit, I'm actually suckered in to see it. I'm a fan of Babe, and even though I know it isn't by the same people who did the Babe movie, I still want to see this. The Water Horse itself looks adorable, though I could do without the belch in the face jokes. But still, I think this might be good.

A family that seems to live in a pre-technology era Scotland adopt a bizarre creature that eventually grows to be the Loch Ness Monster.

So, thoughts?

I remember reading the book in school when I was a kid but I don't think I could stomach the movie, just not my cup of tea.

I was a total sucker for Dick King Smith when I was a kid (Like nobody wasn't…....right?) Amateur book reports spawned relentlessly from his damn books.

That said, I might rent this.

Perona with her regular eyes would have been fine

With the exception of Dodos Are Forever I found Dick-King Smith really boring as a kid. I'm just not a huge fan of such largescale personification I suppose.

Dick King Smith single-handedly made me love gineau pigs with…..get this....the book I Love Gineau Pigs. That man has a hold on me.

Sorry, but Perona never looked like she shot up so much heroin that her eyes were about to burst from her skull and devour virgins.

Haven't really heard anything about this movie, though.

I might snag it after the price drops when it's out on DVD.
