Came up with the idea of keeping Whales and Leopard Seals in captivity? I could understand the thing of the whale (I'm more curious about how it went if someone actually did such stupid thing), but I was wondering why I've never ever seen Leopard seals in captivity when Zoos and the likes even have Sharks and Polar Bears.
PS:
I meant BIG WHALES (Sperm Whales, Humpback Whales, etc…), not Belugas or False Killer Whales.....

Yeah, I have, but the information is pretty vague, so in hopes of it not being updated, I just asked such thing because it's really weird that there are no animals like leopard seals when Polar Bears are like far more dangerous for humans. Besides, I don't frequent Marine Parks a lot to even bother to ask someone why they never bothered with Leopard Seals…..
PS: I was not serious about the "Zebra" crap (It was just some stupid painted donkey that I felt like posting for sparking up the attention after I ignored the thread for a while) , but I was actually interested in the stuff of Moose Farms (Not to make one, but rather why there's like just one in the entire planet when some people acknowledge the moose as some decent source of meat and what not), so yeah, you could say that I'm just a very curious person who asks/searchs for such things while being stuck doing homework......

Whales would be a nightmare to zoos to keep. First of all, they're huge, meaning their holding tanks would be huge. Second, they consume massive amounts of plankton daily (we're talking hundreds of tons, which would bring any Zoo's budget into the toilet).
As for Leopard Seals, they don't do so well in captivity. Plus, recreating Arctic conditions is very expensive. Leopard seals also don't do very well in groups; they're solitary creatures except in breeding time, and even then, they breed in very small groups.

You'd have to be loaded to be able to take care of whales. Unless you genetically shrunk them to the size of house-held goldfish. But that would take years.
