I think the thing I like the most about the series is that the main character (Ageha) isn't actually a dumbass. He was a pretty good fighter right off the bat (similar to Ichigo), did favors and was a pretty likeable guy, had his dumbass moments, but overall has proven to be a pretty humble and thought out guy. I especially liked that he learned by watching and studying, and then made great use of his abilities etc. I know it isn't the most unique thing in the world, but I really like the cast of characters so far.

the original Moon King's Violence was definitely a lot cooler than the new one.

Ageha's not the cool collected type, the original MKV was much more fitting to his type of character

IDK. I mean both him and the rest seem to be a mixture of both worlds. Maybe that is discredit to the author for not being completely consistent, but Ageha at the beginning was a little over the top / impatient, then would be surprisingly cool and collected at times, and then go back to impatient etc. I guess the main example of cool and collected would be his most recent development where he stayed to learn from the kids at the old lady's house. At the least, he does have a good head on his shoulders and is not just a heart of gold friends-love-POWER type like many shonen's. Taking his uncontrollable power and then putting logic, programming, and a battle plan to that power is believable given his character. IMV at least.

Well I do miss the wreaking ball/black hole, but it was a bit much. And this arrow form seems like a solid move. Though I do hope the orginal form gets used again.

So I read Psyren….and I don't see what's so good about it.
It seems like its borrowing stuff from other mangas (Heck although I haven't read much of Gantz, the series pretty much seems like Gantz but for teenagers) and I kinda figured out that the place they went to is post-apocalyptic Japan way when they showed Mount Fuji, but I guess anyone would figure that out

Sigh feels pretty generic and I don't feel like reading more of it. Oh and Amamiya is a boring bitch....and her sensei's dull too.

its a quick read, and mediocre at it's best. The original Melchess Door was the best part of the manga. It's pretty predictable that Hiryuu is Grana too, especially with that conversation Matsuri and Hiryuu had.

Standard shades of gray stuff. Asaga will see whatever he chooses to do as right, gather a group of psychics and form the WISE. Meanwhile Ageha and Oboro take the side of the Elmore School.

Asaga looks exactly like Grana too. The others look nothing like the other drifters (well Shiner looks like Amimaya, but that was probably unintetional, lol.)

Yeah but oboro always struck me as the soon to be villian. He has such a knack for PSI already, and is awfully interested in it. That just screams, "i'll do what ever it takes to get more power" like he's addicted to it already. But Grana being Asaga would be so cliche.

I guess the author is doing a good job at keeping us guessing on what these characters will turn out as.

What's confusing about it? The plot is pretty straight forward. Ageha disrupting what was supposed to happen with the children made Miroku show his face sooner then anticipated, along with the appearance of Junas and Dolaki in the present.

I'm glad Psyren is holding it's spot as a mid tier manga now, instead of being a bottom rung manga. Iwashiro (the writer) has an incredible ability to make cool looking powers. The only power I found a little lame was Dolaki's Explosia, but it was still an illustrated well.

Confusing only to me because at times I find myself to lazy to sort out timeline problems in my mind, but it should be interesting to find out where Miroku will end up in the future, he has the eyepatch in common with Granna but I hope he ends up being someone higher up. And Iwashiro is good at making unique powers and not sticking to the average telekenisis, but I reaelly hope Miroku's has more powers than that tree thing, it's pretty lame for a evil mastermind.

If only Amamiya did some cool things. Because aside from her, the main cast is amazing, probably one of more likeable cast I've come across in manga, unique abilities, cool personalities, and I can't wait to see them grow more together.

I think my point is proven a little more. I continue to look forward to the weekly release for Psyren. I admit it hasn't been astounding or ground breaking, but I have definitely enjoyed it and have not had much room for complaint. Ageha continues to grow in a fashion I can appreciate, that's for sure. Although I am not sure how I feel about the weird crush triangles. Also, unless I am mistaken, it is impossible for Asaga to be Grana, correct?

I think the only way it would be possible is if he unintentionally creates a time paradox. It would be a discrepancy for the story, but I would get over it.

Yeah, very true. Although her Mind Jack thing was pretty awesome, despite being over as soon as it began practically. I still really like how she insists on having a weapon on her.

Oh, and while people are discussing things, I am really hoping Oboro comes back with a Tavoo core since he was teleported into the failed experiment pit and he is a natural healer.

Well, like I said, unless there is a time paradox we can be pretty sure. Haruhiko (Root) already confirmed Grana is in this future, but Ageha, Asaga, Amimaya, etc. aren't because they never "returned" from Psyren.

I think an All Mighty Type is just a Psy user who can use all three proficiently. That's just my guess i could be dead wrong.

this series has been coming along nicely.

I was worried in the beginning that it was just a second-rate Gantz rip off. But it's really come into it's own. Along with Toriko, OP, and Bakuman, I make sure to read this every week.

Rise increases physical attributes.

Burst is when you manifest and or control something physical. ex. Pyrokenisis.

Trance is mental, telepathic, illusions, mind reading, that stuff.

Pretty funny how they said fuck it and gave up, Ageha's powers have real potential. Worst part is that the situation Q's programmer is in is a classic setup where even though they get saved from the bad guy, they're to weak to live on and tell the main characters an important detail that can end the manga in one chapter.

I don't think the old guy will die. Maybe kept prisoner or something. Also they probably have two future allies now. The guy Ageha kicked away for sure is to become an ally. Ageha stopped his own attack to save the guys life and he looked confused after that. the typical "We're enemies, why would you save me confused." So he is very likely to join them. Though doesnt look like he'll become a main character.

but i'm beginning to enjoy this series. It may not blow me away, but it has been making a lot of safe choices that keep me coming back. it has come a good way.

This last arc fell a bit short for me. The villains weren't too bad, but the fights were lame. I think as hard as the kids try, they'll never be that interesting. The main characters fighting styles are much more interesting.

Still curious as to where all this is going though.
