5 bucks this is some kind of possible illegal scam from Comcast to stop the power houses of bandwidth. But, then again, I dont use Comcast for any online service connections but just wanted to point this news out.

It's not specific to their network, but Comcast doesn't directly cause torrents to be blocked; rather, they put something on their system that causes packet loss. if you did a constant ping of your network while downloading torrents, you'll notice significant packet loss, at least 15% or more.

They do. Most of the companies do. Any torrents downloaded they'll cause significant packet loss to them.
I use comcast since my move, but I don't download anime anymore. I've used torrent tho, and it hasn't seem that bad.

It's more dependent on your bandwith usage. If you have heavy bandwith usage over a minimal period of time, then the packet loss kicks in. if it's moderate to low traffic, you won't even notice it.
I use Comcast and I've definitely noticed the loss in the past.
The funny thing is, I just downloaded 12 Gigabytes files in only a few hours today….that never happens :ninja:
