What Tokyopop Mangas/Manhwa do you read/like

For a long time I had been really interested in this company. It have many mangas that I have read, and some that I think that is real great,. especially Fruits Basket (I rather read it the manga way then the online mangas, since I'm busy w/ other mangas), and the other one I especially like is Chronicles of the Cursed Sword (which is a manhwa). Heres the rest I read:

Rave Master, Afterlife (one vol), Smuggler, Tokyo Mew Mew Ala Mode, Ai Yorti Aoshi (one vol though), Lupin III (only vol 3), Ragnarok (only a few scattered ones), Warcraft, Sorcerors & secretaries, Van Von Hunter, My Cat Loki (vol 1), Midnight Opera, Bizenghast, I Luv Halloween (1st 2 vol's), Mark of the Succubus (vol 1), Dramacon (vol 1). Most of the Jing the bandit king mangas. And East Coast Rising, which I like a lot (even though I only read the 1st volume).

I know I probably read more, but thats the only ones I can think of now

Not too terribly familiar with Tokyopop's quality, but they seem to do pretty well, from what's been seen.

S-Cry-ed is the only TokyoPop property in this entire house. I really like S-Cry-ed, in all of its forms.

Everything else is either DarkHorse or VIZ.

I've actually grown apart from TokyoPop over the years. They used to be the only brand I read during High School, but I have since moved to mostly Viz or Del Rey. Only TokyoPop titles I'll probably read now are either Keroro Gunso (which I haven't seen a new volume of in a while) or Fruits Basket (which I've lost track of). I kinda lost interest in TP after they started letting anyone with drawing skills, but no taste for a good story, publish a manga.

And I cannot read manwha for the life of me. Every manwha I tried reading has gotten me lost because they can never focus on one thing. I've probably been reading the wrong titles, though.

I like how tokyopop doesn't translate the sound effects.

I mostly collect Beck and GTO.

Ahhh, I remember when Tokyopop was young, and I was reading old-school versions of Magic Knight Rayearth. sigh Good times.

Nowadays though I almost exclusively read Viz shoujo.

I only have Initial D and I'm not impressed with how Tokyopop handled it. They Americanized half the character names. The anime dub is worse too.

Also, has anyone seen what they did to the Karin manga? They changed the name to CHIBI VAMPIRE. What kind of crap is that? Karin's like 5 feet tall.

Don't even get me started on their OEL manga.

I've only read Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, and Keroro Gunso. I don't like the way they sometimes leave translations for things and sometimes don't.

Well Wal-Mart's stock of Naruto mangas seem to have poofed. In their place is some American made manga knockoff called Alavon High or some shit, and then there's Kingdom Hearts II. Was interested in buying KHII…but they wanted $9 for it.

Yeah, Tokyopop REALLY wants you to buy their OEL crap. Not worth it. It shouldn't even be called manga because it sure as hell isn't read right to left and it's not done by a Japanese artist.

I have all of their Keroro Gunso/Sgt. Frog releases

I have several Lupin III volumes (I really wish I had more but they're impossible to find), one Jing King of Bandits (I decided to try it out, decided it was trash and stopped there)

And if I have anything else I can't remember it right now

Buying the Fruits Basket volumes from them ( I have up to v17), some volumes of Keroro Gunso, and read two volumes of TokyoTribes once.

Del Rey is really good when it comes to translation. There were some issues with their Negima translation but other than that they generally aren't that bad
