Aizen (injuring 3 captains was too much. Kubo over did it)
Ant King (I havent read that much since Hxh started again, but he was pretty damn powerful)
Naraku (though he's mostly just a pussy and fights agains idiots)
Itachi (just gay)
Pein
Most "Overpowered" Anime/Manga Character
-
-
Just cutting in to say I don't think main villains should count as overpowered, personally. They HAVE to be ridiculously strong to be a threat to hordes of super-powerful anime/manga heroes. Like Aizen. You have to be monstrously strong to pretty much say "fuck you" to the whole of Soul Society.
-
anyone who has read Houshin Engi will 100% agree with me, and if you disagree you're wrong
I watched the entire anime years ago and I have almost no recollection of that guy. I remember Daki, the lazy Luffy clone and that infintely badass flying hippo. OMFGz that Hippo made that series!
I did enjoy the stuff based on the Chinese Romance of the Three Kingdoms story or whatever. And that idea that everyone has elaborate as hell weapons and the main characters is basically a goddamn stick. And not even a long stick. Just a small pipe basically. I love the immortals and gods basically giving Taikobou a stick and going "Here! Defeat all the immortals on earth with that!"
I remember enjoying it but it not being like, super stand out or top ten material. Just something nice and alittle more heady than the usual shonen stuff. Did the anime follow the manga closely? -
@Ao:
Did the anime follow the manga closely?
hahahahahaha
:|
-
Sailor Saturn.
Why do I know this.
-
Clear note was so overpowered that almost every other character that has appeared trough Gash Bell had to come back to kick his ass…
I mean, the only thing that comes to my mind that could stop his "Eraser" powers would be that Death Note....
Uhmm. I actually dunno if he can "erase" illusions and all that mental crap, but if he doesn't, then Kanchome is still pretty much at the same level....
The only thing that keeps Kanchome from being ubber is that he can't keep his ultimate spell active forever, and after it's cancelled, the opponent notices how the thing did nothing to them.
-
hahahahahaha
:|
Yeah that pretty much answers your question Ao Kiji
and Taikoubou is next to nothing like Luffy
-
@Cap'n:
and Taikoubou is next to nothing like Luffy
The only thing that comes to my mind is Taikobou being dependant on his companions at times, but yeah, besides that, there's like no comparasion at all between the two.
-
hahahahahaha
:|
lol! That's what I thought.
Taikobou is more like a better written version of Yoh from Shaman King from what I remember. He resembled Luffy imho as far as being totally underestimated and constantly unpredictable atleast to those around him. I think pretty much everyone, ally or enemy took him as a joke, saw his potential than were either defeated by or joined him not fully getting what he was was going through his mind half the time.
Before I actually watched the OP anime, I got the same impression from Luffy. Not the idiot everyone took him for, atleast not half the time, just someone who sees things completely differently from the average person.
-
^LOL
You're one to talk…
You know who's an overpowered OP character? Ao Kiji.
Also…Ursula from K-H 1. I mean, seriously... wtf? She was stronger then freaking Ansem. =/
-
Alucard, "Monster of God" Anderson, and a ton of other characters from Hellsing. Basically that manga is all about how many broken characters can be thrown at each other at once.
-
When it comes to being overpowered, you can't beat Dragon Ball, where somebody capable of destroying three quarters of the universe still comes in second.
@Cap'n:
BUNCHUU
anyone who has read Houshin Engi will 100% agree with me, and if you disagree you're wrong
In what way?
His utterly ludicrous character shield? Yeah, from that viewpoint, he's overpowered to the extent that I kept saying "JUST DIE ALREADY, DAMNIT!" while reading volumes 16 and 17, but he wasn't actually the strongest character in the series at that point. That was Shinkouhyou, who, while a lazy bastard, was universally declared the strongest doushi with the strongest paopei.
-
…Moat?

The fight against Bunchuu reminded me so much of Luca Blight in Suikoden II.
Well the thing about Shinkouhyou was, until the end we pretty much didn't see him do anything. So we never really got a good taste of his supposed "overpoweredness." Meanwhile, Bunchuu survives point-blank nuclear explosions and a black hole.
And by the time he started to showcase his stuff, other characters had probably gotten pretty close to his level.
Dakki was ridiculously powerful too, but…..... yeah.
-
Majin Dark Schneider.
Basically, the guy is constantly surrounded by a bunch of immaterial shields protecting him against all kinds of effects, including LOSING. That's right he's protected against losing.
Even if you could break through these shields by applying enough power, which would at the very least need end of DBZ level punches since Majin DS creates nuclear fission everytime he strikes, he can't be killed except if he's attacked on the physical, spiritual and ethereal plane at the same time. In other words you must destroy his body, spirit and soul. If you can only hurt physical bodies then tough shit, he'll just keep on regenerating.
He also has faster than light movement, can turn himself into a living torch reaching a 2 billions ° temperature, and spam gigantic disintegrations destroying everything on a city or even country radius, including the soul of the living creatures that fell victim to it.
Globally speaking I don't think there's a mangaverse that's more broken than Bastard!!.
-
Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. Somehow his "Hajike" abilities make him nearly invincible to losing, he can transform dimensions at his own whim and can fuse to become even more powerful beings (mostly thinking Bobopatchnosuke, Denbo, Yokohama Junko or Papapa-pa Pa-papatch), usually against characters more broken than he is. Probably the only characters I can think of in that series that are as broken to make Bo-bobo get even more powerful are Shigeki X and Bibibi-bi Bi-bibi. (surprisingly Shinsetsu never had anyone as broken as those two) Don Patch is close as well but he sometimes loses.
-
A couple of other characters from Bastard!!, and they're far from being the strongest in the manga either:
Ninja Master Gara: survived getting his guts cut open by a mountain cutting lightning sword. Can strike at lightspeed. Shrugged off getting crushed by hundreds of tons of rubbles from a huge fortress carved into a mountain that collapsed on him. Survived getting send flying into another continent. Can cut through souls/spirits.
Ede Ee: immaterial, can't get hurt if you can't attack on the spiritual plane. Can open black holes with a gravitational pull of 1000g that send you in another dimension where light, air and water don't exist. Can steal your soul by looking at you. His trademark spell called Suicidal Tendencies create large quantities of a black gaz that makes everything it touches decay, including metal, flesh and stone.
-
I always felt sorry for not seeing the full power of dakki, when the "cloth of controling people with sexy poses" was overcomed of ONE of its abilities she surrendered, but on a mental level she was peerless, her master plan was great.
Hao. Even if the bastard that wrote shaman king never ended it, I have to say that hao is too overpowered, There is this theory that the autor just couldn't think in a way to end hao before the deadline of the manga came, because it droped in the bottom of the popularity.
The emo arrancar, espada numero cuatro, bleach characters have too complicated names, even more when Kubo tries to make them sound spanish, he is fourth in his evil organization, and Ichigo only could hurt him a little with max power and plot device in his side, and there is still the 3 rouge capitans and the other 3 top espadas.
I have the feeling that Gin's dad will be stronger than the ants, the ants was a good plot device, but they seem too overpowered, how can they be beaten without making every challenge after them lame and flat? or it is time for HXH to end?
-
A technique named after Suicidal Tendencies
how embarrassing

Wait…do you mean the game or the manga? If it was the game, then you probably needed to level up more or look at a strategy guide, because all you needed to do was swim back and forth and whack her face and listen for those attack cues.
Manga-wise though, I dont see how she would be overpowered...Ansem is the last boss. But I cant talk since i havent read the manga version. But Ao Kiji is an admiral, he's supposed to be that strong. If this helps at all i think it was metioned somewhere that he's one of the strongest marines out there
Sorry for bashing your post like that, ill get onto my own thing.
4 pages and no one mentioned Sasuke? *hears everyone say 'Well...DUH! Geez you didnt have to mention it for like the 500th time'

And he's designed after Iron Maiden's mascot as well.
At least he's not some pointy nosed fag that looks like he's out of a shojo.
-
In terms of One Piece, I'd say Enel. He was just so ridiculous. He can be broke on terms of other anime as well.
Then there is Clear Note….no explanation needed.
Simon/Genome AND the Anti-Spirals are broken. Creating and OVERPOWERING a Big Bang is about as overpowered as you can get in an anime/manga/show.
-

I actually like Taikoubou as a hero for a shonen series, because he's so damn different from other shonen heroes: He's sneaky, he's underhanded, he barely uses his skills to it's greatest potential, and he doesn't get mad easily. Of course, this is a review based on me reading the first 3 volumes, so I don't know how or if that changes throughout the series. Makes me wish I could make a hero like that, but it's not my style. Not yet, anyway.
Now that I've posted I might as well contribute.
Kinnikuman (Kinnikuman) - The Kajiba no Kuso Chikara (I know I spelled that wrong) feels a bit like a broken power. Plus, the Face Flash is instant Deus Ex Machina. A part of me is happy that isn't in Nisei.
Moria - Everytime this guy reveals a new shadow power, I feel the need to punch a hole in the wall. He looks awesome, but enough already! And on that note…
Jose (Fairy Tail) - I haven't much of him, but he already ticked me off with his own type of shadow powers.
-
hmmm….
Im gonna try out this houshin engi
EDit:nevermind it did.
-
Yeah, it ended several years ago.
And he's designed after Iron Maiden's mascot as well.
At least he's not some pointy nosed fag that looks like he's out of a shojo.
(insert generic Phenomenol-esque bashing of Bastard!! here)
btw, suicidal tendencies: http://www.lyricsdir.com/suicidal-tendencies-institutionalized-lyrics.html

Johann from Monster, if you don't know why, then I suggest you watch or read the series again.
Berserker Guts is another honorable mention. -
@shadedcircles:

The game.
I've beaten her, but she just took me the longest. Both forms (especially in 2nd form) That took me forever @.@
-
sorry to be off topic again but this engi seems to be this pretty weak anime called
soul hunter I quit watching a while ago.but since animes are 95 percent of the time horrible adaptations of manga Im suppossing thats the case here right?
-
Poof Strawberri commin in to school you boys..
ummm has anyone ever watched DBZ?? i mean come on they r all a bunch of steroid orgying freaks who can kill Arnold just by slinging a dumbell into his face … accidently walking into it and whisking it into the air only to smash his mayor face in.
Buu from Dragonball Z would kill anyone….and come on... being turned into a cookie is just frightening..imagine Aizen being turned into a cookie and not being able to run PAST THE SPEED OF LIGHT to get from it...He'd be the first captain to Officially wear a yellow garment XD (froma ll the peeing -- if you didn't get that)
and 2. Light from Death note..the only reason he loses is becuz it only takes 2 seconds in the 40 agonizing seconds of peeing in his pants for Light to be bent over and told to say Buu's name.
Just new here and felt like schoolin ya :P

Huh? Although Buu is probably one of the moat overpowered characters in DBZ I still don't understand how Aizen running past the speed of light as a cookie has anything to do with anything.
-
the truth in FMA is the strongest since he is god
-
@Cap'n:

Yeah, we never really see him do anything to earn the acclaim he gets. It's probably just as well Taikoubou never tried to take him on or the fight would probably still be going on.
Dakki was ridiculously powerful too, but…..... yeah.
Obviously…
! what with the ascension to godhood and all.
who are you talking about?
@Radical:
nobody in dragonball can do anything near that feat.
Majin Buu did. Of course, the Dragonball universe was apparently only made up of sixteen different galaxies (barring some unrevealed deity level above Dai Kaioshin), but destroying twelve galaxies is still a pretty major feat as he could easily have finished off the last four without any trouble.

lol wat i meant was… Altho i think Aizen is way cooler and all...itd be a funny game of hide and go seek for buu as he laughs behind a yellow soaked Aizen sweating to death wondering how life as a devoured and digested cookie would be. oh btw im lovin the Arnold pic. but i meant steriod user's idol: Arnold The Terminator Arnold.

I love Cloud ^.^ lol don't forget that witch lady from Final Fantasy 8 who can pull four planets out of orbit and smash them together like tonka trucks into Squall…dusts off his leather jacket and combs his hair XD

DBZ characters are a bunch of prancing fairies.
This is Satan from Bastard!! destroying the Milky Way just by moving from the center of the universe to earth:

hmmm you're right..that may be pretty hard to beat….pssh i culd take him with my left painted pinky XD wouldn't that be pathetic for him.

Houshin Engi, Read it, Enjoy it, no other way, up to half of it is KIND of the manga but not quite, just please, never compare them again, Cachai?
The characters are all very good, there is this one scene with the first big boss, choukoumei, the best gag ever in manga history, it is only 23 volumes, but it is worth it.
-

Choukomei taking over the Manga was hilarious, and so was his Nifty Ultimate Form…
Anyways, It's a shame I never got to see more of the manga after Spuu's super duper revelation...
-
No one mentioned Tenchi Muyo? Cause it has a bunch of ridiculously powerful characters.
Speaking of that it's funny how shitty shojo/harem mangas like Sailor Moon, Card Captor Sakura or Tenchi Muyo are overpowered as all hell.
-
@Kitsu:
Moria - Everytime this guy reveals a new shadow power, I feel the need to punch a hole in the wall. He looks awesome, but enough already!
In the subject of over-powered characters in One Piece, I would say Enel. He could have destroyed an entire civilization with one move.
-
Enel was only so strong because he terrorized an isolated group of people with no real way of dealing with lightning.
Had he been on the Blue sea, he wouldn't have gotten away with nearly as much as he did.
So compared to alot of other characters, I don't really see him as overpowered.
-
Akoiji has the potential to be much more destructive that Enel or other known logia, it is hard to protect against Flash freeze especialy with so much water around.
He could be, ride bicicle, flash freeze technique which name I don't remember Ice time?, ride bicicle, flash freze another part of the island, a logia's found weakness isn't a 1hit KO, so even is someone fired fire at him, he could freeze the source too.
-
Ok…
Who the heck corrected the spelling error in the title?!
It's not as funny anymore...
-
Son Goku
pein
Aizen
Mihawk. -
Aizen
Every major DBZ villain and Goku
Every single Digimon final boss
God from D. Gray-man. -
I have a feeling we'll be adding all of the Royal Guards and the King from Hunter x Hunter very, very soon. Shudders
Then again, Tonfa's just gonna show up and smash their heads in apparently.
Lol.
