I'm making a topic for this because I want to make sure everyone sees it. Please do not close it. I planned to start this a while ago but… well I'm lazy. Basically, I want anyone who wants to, to send me fanart or letters or whatever else they want to send to Thank Funimation for dubbing One Piece. It can be a letter, fanart, pictures, whatever you want.

there are some guidelines I'd like you all to use.

For letters:

Make them in a proper business format just so that they look more professional. You don't HAVE to include your address, but try and use the right format. That is all I ask about letters.

For fanart:

1. If it is hand drawn and colored I want the ORIGINAL copies. Show it to me VIA a PM or email and I will send you my address to send it to.

2. If it is hand drawn and colored on a computer, send it to me at a resolution of 300 DPI or higher. If you don't know how to do this, … well uh... it shouldn't be too hard to figure out. When you're scanning it into your computer, there is usually an option for how many DPI you want to use. Just look for it and set it to 300. Either PM it to me or email it to me.

3. If it's 100% done on a computer just make sure it's at a very high resolution. PM or email it to me.

Anything else:
You're welcome to send cosplay pics or... anything else. Just show it to me and I'll add it. If it is a picture I'd like an original print though. Thanks.

I'm going to compile it all and send it off as a package. You have until December 10th to contact me if you wish to participate.

Okay because I hardly got anything but I got a lot of "Well I would have but school and all" I'm extending the date to January 15th. That's an extra month and five days and now you all have your holiday breaks to work on it. You are welcome to send more than one thing as well.

^Shouldn't we just give it to them at a convention? Because they might just throw away things that fans send them (like 4kids did).

EDIT: Actually, they might read it if we send it, because even Al Khan said that 4Kids reads mail from otaku's and gets good laughs out of it.

(and for the record everyone, Quexinos may have come up with the concept, but I had the brilliant plan of delivering it at a convention with all of the VAs and Funimation panel there. So I deserve at least 37% of the total credit; even if I don't actually contribute to the contents of the package) :ninja:

I'm reminded of the EB Siege from Starmen.net for some reason… Anyway, yeah, a convention may be the best thing, unless APForums people decide to mail a ton of stuff to one member who then organizes and puts everything together in a neat little box and send it to FUNimation.

Somebody needs to make stuff to be specifically given to all of the Straw Hat crew's Voice actors, like a Straw Hat for Colleen, a Chopper hat for Brina, that bandanna for Sonny, a curly eyebrow thing for Eric... That kind of stuff.

Well, I don't know how to make it more higher quality. That's the exact file :/

well you'd have to scan it in at a higher DPI. I'm not sure how to do it with whatever you're using but usually when your scanning, there's an option for how much DPI to use.

Hmm I think I need better guidelines. The pic still rocks though, I'm still gonna use it.

If you still have the vector file (.psd or whatever) for the coloured version, you could probably just resize the colour layers to the higher resolution scan, rather than recolour the whole thing. It might need some tweaking to make it quite right, but it would save some time and make a much higher quality image. Great picture, by the way!

I think I might contribute something towards the project sometime soon. Might be nice to get something from a British fan. =P

I'll draw something. I've got a really great perspective angle in my head of the Straw Hat's riding up the Knock-Up Stream. I think I might send another copy to Shonen Jump so they can showcase it in their Fan Art Section (The uncolored, version, anyway).

I'm going to color it on the computer, so 300 DPI, got it.
