11/10 "Dreams Don't Come True!? Bellamy vs. the Saruyama Alliance" Dub Discussion

Here is tonight's episode discussion. I was going to wait for someone else to make this thread, but I couldn't wait :P. So just so everyone knows, this thread will be used to talk about tonight's episode. Don't post in last week's episode thread, cause the admin or mod will lock it. (In case anyone didn't know about this ^)

Now on to tonight's episode, I haven't really rewatched this episode yet in Japanese, so today I'm going to see what CN will have edited out, or what CN told FUNI to edit out. So I'll be back later to give my thoughts on what will be edited. Of course I already know that the scene with Bellamy and his crew fighting the Saruyama alliance and Cricket will be edited. Thats the only scene I can recall that has violence, but I'm going to watch the Japanese to see if there is other scenes that have violence or have alcohol consumption, and other thigns that CN won't allow.

I can't wait for tonight's episode! Only 12 hours left

In this episode we should hear what they're calling Bellamy's Devil Fruit. Also, this might just set the pace (and give us some idea) as to exactly how Cartoon Network might edit all the fights. At least, until they realize what a goldmine they're sitting on, and begin airing it almost completely uncut like they are Naruto.

I haven't seen this episode, but I know Funimation's gonna do an awesome job (when haven't they?) It's kind of annoying that Funimation is begging CN to let them do what they let Viz do with Naruto and what Funi did with DBZ, but they won't let them.

I always confuse those two. I meant Satori, but it sounds so damn close to Sasori that it's hard not to confuse the two names. XD

An easy way to remember:

"Satori" is a Buddhist (i.e. religious) term, fitting in with the overall theme of Enel's God Complex.

"Sasori" means "Scoripion".

Wow, I'm watching the new dub for the first time. I'm immediately impressed. All the horrible voices (like Sanji, Usopp, and Luffy) are a hundred times more tolerable.
And was that the original South Bird "Joooooh"? Sure sounded like it. Can't wait to hear some of the others' voices.
