I have one friend who thinks its retarded as fuck thanks to 4Kids. But most of my friends like it, but its not their favorite like mine. Poor fools, one day they will see the glory that is One Piece.

I only know one other person who really loves it like me, one who loves it but not fanatically, hes as 130 in the subs, and one person who has watched up to about the Apis arc. He's not all that into it.

I got a few friends who like it. They have all seen it, since I burn the episodes on to CD's. The first is up to 142, and I'm trying to get him to start reading. Another is at the Apis part. Last one is around 20's. Trying to get one more of my friends into it

Every few weeks, I get together with a few friends and watch the KF subs. XD I got them ALL hooked. Hell, in my college's geek circles, I'm a very well-known "dealer."

I'm kinda sad that Oda's art put some people off ;_; It's beautiful, dammit, compared to all the bishie crap out there.
Several of my friends read OP, but I guess I'm the most fanatic of my group. XD But I never really met a guy who says that the art sucks, though… I only heard the comment via others..
I only know two of my friends who are up to date with the manga. Guess people prefer to read lots of chapters at once.

The manga is excellent, i just started reading them, and the anime rocks.

my friends only saw a part of the anime and they don't like it.
they say the drawing is bad and it's too childish. but i started explaining the story, the characters and the main events to one of them, and i hope he'll start watching it (but the number of eps is a big problem for him)
but in my student building, i often hear naruto music and NO one piece music. people are strange… :blink:

Nobody I know has even heard of it, which I don't find too shocking.
We started playing the 4Kids Abomination Version on the Toonami channel here in England and they've gotten just past the Buggy Fight, right at the beginning.
The only person I know in England who has even heard of it is Cap'n Big Nose/Tom, and we tend to amuse ourselves with One Piece related conversations most of the time. Fun, fun.

Some people say that I am being immature watching it since they think it's for kids.. But I don't give a shit what they think.. Because I LOVE One Piece!!

one of my best friend likes one piece, eventhough not as obssesed as me, but I always tease her with spoilers hehhehe (yes, I am kinda naughty :P) and I also choke her with OP animes, maybe one day she will also become OP obsessed fan like me.
my other friend aslo like OP and he has all OP translated version manga, too bad he doesn't like Robin. but, that doesn't matter at least he likes OP

none of them are as obsessed as i am, but that doesn't mean i'll stop talking about it.
i send chapter summaries to my nakama (yeees, we actually call each other that. or aniki), and she's the one who's had most of my praisings watering down on her.
so she knows what's been happening, and i know she finds the story and characters appealing, but she's just having problems allowing herself to admit that.and of course, my poor brother, who got completely hooked.

Yeah, around here its very hard to find one piece fans, none the less have even people know what one piece is nor what manga is besides the japanese which all huddle up in their tiny jp groups.
My friend who doesn't like One Piece just doesn't like shonen manga in particular either. For me I don't enjoy shoujo manga very much either. It's funny cause we're good friends but everything we like is opposite.

One of my friends has just started watching the KF versions (as I lent them to him) and he's not digging it so far. He's at about episode 13 or so, and he's waiting for it to really grab him. I can't blame him really, I was the same at the start . Once it got to Sanji's arc though… That's where I REALLY started digging it.

I only have 2 friends that likes manga… ;_; One of the think one piece is the best manga in the world, just like I do, but he has only read OP, DBZ and like 1 volume of Love Hina, Naruto, Shaman King and Sand land.

I've only got about three friends in New York who are into anime at all. Out of them, one won't watch it because there are too many episodes, another watched the first episode and hated everything from the art to the voices and refuses to watch anymore, and the last one I got to watch up to around Arlong Park and he thinks its alright but would rather watch Naruto. My friend from Italy however had watched the Italian dub on a pretty regular basis and I was surprised to learn that it is one of his favorite shows.

Well, I've been able to talk some of my friends into One Piece, which is kind of a big deal since most of them are shoujo anime fans. Save Beatrix, who used to be a Naruto fan. Now she loves both Sanji and Robin, not unlike myself. There's two of us living in one house, so it really does look like OP exploded in here.
I'm still trying to get the others into it, but no results yet. But I'm not new to this.
It's kinda the same way when I tried to talk people into checking out Hokuto no Ken - which, not unlike OP, is one of the best things I have ever seen in my life. -
Oh dear, I feel for you Ayame. If you can show her the subbed I'm sure she'll love it loads more than the dub. Plus all the wrong will be right (well thats what I think).

Two, read the Manga alongside me, and thought it was great.
The other watched the 4kids dub, and still fell in love with it. Go figure. -
I've gotten most of my friends into it now. My best friend and I are going to cosplay Vivi and Nami together.
And Miss Wednesday and Mr. 9 at some point. -
One of my friends trusts my taste in anime, so he knows that One Piece isn't as bad as 4kid's dub. I'm going to get him into it sometime.. I just have to wait until he clears up some hard drive space.

Anyways, I am pretty proud that I know what One Piece is and pretty glad my friend introduced it to me (even though I was reluctant to watch it at first, some kind of stalling I was doing). If I had more friends, I would force-feed it down their throat so that they may see and recognize the light of the great masterpiece that ONE PIECE is and will always be!!! :lol: That's how I feel about it. If only I had more friends…

I have a friend who has only seen the 4kids edit on Toonami, and now he thinks he know everything about One Piece. Dont get me started on the "Rubber Knife" BS, "Usopp hand me your Rubber Knife" AGHH makes me so angry. The rest of my friends think all Anime is for Kids its stupid, only "Oi Sanji" is really into One Piece and other anime.

When I was in Japan, almost everyone I met watched it. O_o.; My host sister was like, "LOOK! CHOPPER!" and was all excited and pointing whenever she saw a kid with a Chopper phonestrap or anything, and… a whole bunch of the kids there had them. o_o.; One Piece is pretty much a universal interest in Oita, it seems.

Meh I'm the only anime/manga fan I know of here. It's pretty sad too. Anyone else around here thinks it's either kiddy crap or they don't know what it is. You know the kind of people who are into MTV and sports… that's the kind of people around here.

I usually talk to my friends on the net about it though. My one friend loves every anime and video game series I'm into and we have great conversations and all.

I'm trying to convert my sister, but the problem with the first episodes are that they are pretty mediocre (at least compared to the later episodes).
