edit: 30 at 1500 grains … guess thats my level.
1000 grain
lvl 10 lol
I've been doing this for about a week now. Kinda lost track but I'm a bit over 10 000 grains? Level 31 =x
ramza. did you answe the first question wrong or how did you get lvl 10? (restarted a few times just to see how high i could get by lucky guesses in the start… highest i got to was 40)
Your level goes up for every 3 your get right and down for every one you get wrong.
…so does this thing actually have an end where it tallies up your points or does it just keep going until you quit?

latter one
awoeihg
Great, and I've somehow managed to convince myself that if I stop this I'll end up starving some kid out there because I didn't earn just a LITTLE more.
This is gonna be a long night.
someone should make a bot, program it to run in the background of some uneversity computers dureing the holidays and just rack up millions of rice grains….
he could cure world hunger =P
Okay eventually managed to stop at 6000, with Vocab level 31.
I didn't really look st the level, but I think it was 31 or 32, and I got 2000 grains of rice .
1000 grains level 37.
It's amazing how many words there are for "courage."
Started about 10 minutes ago and got 1240 grains. I guess I'm not quite as dumb as I though I was. I feel abit more confident now
550/28 but I had to do tons of guessing (really felt stupid:sad:) - there´s quite some colloquial expressions mixed in, isn´t it?
And who the hell is paying for all that rice??
the faq say that the advertisement pay for the rice.
10 rice grains isnt that much so i guess it's possible.
I think everyday I'll get 200 grains of rice. That will build up after a while.
280 grains, vocab level 43. I used the dictionary about 90% of the time.
Kinda good to practice my english…
But yeah, if the dude who made the "VOTEFORTHENEWWONDERSOFTHEWORLD" made a lot of money out of advertisement, then I don't see how buying rice would be that much of a problem when they advertize stuff like Office Depot..
the question would be:
what is the percentage of his administrate fees?
@Dr.:
280 grains, vocab level 43. I used the dictionary about 90% of the time.
kinda defeats the point now doesnt it? =P what is your vocab lvl without cheating?
So they refuse to give food to the needy unless you answer their vocabulary test questions correctly
No. You generate ad revenues that they buy rice for and then give to hungry people. (Atleast that is what they are claiming. I dont give a fuck. I just like to watch the vocab level of everyone in this thread. =P)
http://www.freerice.com/faq.html
Who pays for the donated rice?
The rice is paid for by the advertisers whose names you see on the bottom of your vocabulary screen. This is regular advertising for these companies, but it is also something more. Through their advertising at FreeRice, these companies support both learning (free vocabulary for everyone) and reducing hunger (free rice for the hungry). We commend these companies for their participation at FreeRice.
If FreeRice has the rice to give, why not give it all away right now?FreeRice is not sitting on a pile of rice―you are earning it 10 grains at a time. Here is how it works. When you play the game, advertisements appear on the bottom of your screen. The money generated by these advertisements is then used to buy the rice. So by playing, you generate the money that pays for the rice donated to hungry people
Yeah, you generate revenue just by visiting, but they only buy rice with it if you get the questions right.
perhaps they need to have it that way for leagal reasons?
can't just have an "update this page to give someone elses money away" site…
think the key phrase is "Through their advertising at FreeRice, these companies support both learning (free vocabulary for everyone) and reducing hunger (free rice for the hungry). We commend these companies for their participation at FreeRice."
if there wasnt anything other then just updateing i doubt theese companies would pay fot this kind of advertisement... I dont think ANYONE clicks their links. (hell I didnt even spot them the first time around)
Been at it for like ten minutes… Vocab Level 41.
