People these days in America think One Piece is a crappy show and its for 2 year olds.The otakus dont even watch it and think its a baby cartoon.One of the kids at my school said he hates the show and said he seen the original.He hasnt,he called Zoro Zolo.Im afraid that One Piece wont do well even if its FUNimation dubbed.
How can we Bring the popularity of One Piece up?

The only thing we can do is convince people to watch the Funimation dub when one of the intense or cool episodes is on. Other than that, we can only give it time, unfortunately.
And I'm pretty sure this has been disscussed to death now, but now at least we have a thread for it. (Unless it's been done before…oh well.)

if people watch the original and don't like it, there's not much we can do. Best thing to do is to tell people to give it another chance. Especially if all they've seen is the 4Kids dub… I think OP's popularity will rise in time. Just be sure to let people know it's a new dub and spread the word, but don't be forceful.

well i for one am glad to be part of the cool, small group that watchs and reads this anime religiously lol and actually know how to appreciate its genius. i started off in the 4kids dub and looked beyond one pieces exterior. its on of the most epic stories/adventures ive ever seen people are just dumb and judge books by their cover. i mean OP is successful in japan isnt it? americans arent willing to open up and enjoy another countries stuff just as they are with our stuff…its dumb really.

I can`t stand Narutards that just watch the show just for blood and violence and not the plot.We should convince them to watch at the episode where Bellamy beats up Donkey Kong and Cricket and the episode where Luffy punches him in the face.They will be more interested in the probally violence rather than them finding birds.

I know many people that think One Piece is just a dumb kiddy show. But I also know many people who like it. That's just the way the cookie crumbles. If it's been going for all these years, there must be enough fans out there to keep Oda drawing, and that's what counts.

…hope Naruto has another massive filler arc and thus even more Naruto fans will watch it? I heard quite a lot eventually did towards the end of the 2 year long Naruto filler arc cause they were so overwhelmed with boredom, but didn't stick with it took long as Naruto finally went back into canon. Similar thing apparently happened during the Bleach filler arc.
I mean...Naruto is the top rated show on CN (and I hear in it's history), so while Naruto fans tend to be...well....tards, having them support One Piece would be great. But of course, general Naruto fans have a hate towards One Piece due to the One Piece fanbase commonly bashing them....which is their faults really.

2. Try NOT insulting them and the mangas that potential OP fans may also enjoy. (what Buuhan just did)

Im pretty sure DBZ was there highest. I remember in like 2002 it was one of the highest or the highest rated show on cable.

To be honest, I'm fine with the way things are now. If it gets more popular, great, if not, well at least Toei Animation and FUNimation have done the best they can to set thing right. At least Toei Animation has become more humble about their North American decisions because of the mess 4Kids made.
If "One Piece" does get more popular, it's gonna be a slow process, so be patient.
