@silverson:
such a mysterious fellow haha.
who would have thought that at the end of the loguetown arc he that shadowy character would have turned out to be luffys dad like 300 episodes later….
post your speculations on him here
from his halfassed introduction in LT i always thought it was he who had the wind fruit.and when i saw luffy use a "storm" move i knew they had some tie. im also curious to see what the mark on his face means...could it have something to do with the will of D. and how much does he know? who are the revolutionaries and what separates them from pirates? whats with all these damn animal themes?...so much to learn.
Robin explained what the revolutionaries do when it was revealed he was Monkey D. Dragon: They attack the government directly. Pirates don't. It's that simple.
The marking on his face is probably just decorative, but it might mean something… we know very little about Dragon so far, so we'll just have to wait and see.
As for the animal theme, Dragon is based on Sir Francis Drake, who was called El Dragon in Spain. He was the early Renassiance's most notorious Privateer; the Spanish put a price of 20,000 ducats on his head, which equates to about 10,000,000 Euros in today's money. Back then, cities would be ransomed for that much.
