I found this book called, "The One Piece Adventurer. A Treasure Trove of Trivia"
It had info all the way to the end of the Ace VS Blackbeard fight. USING JAPANESE NAMES SUCH AS: Ace, Zoro, and Smoker. Here are some photos! I will take photo requests.

I ask also– where did you get that?! Seeing how it's in English, hopefully it's for sale at American bookstores...

I'm interested. It says that Lucci is the leader of CP9. Once again, that is brought into question for me. Never been clear on the true leader…

It's an unauthorized book, says so right on the cover, so I wouldn't read anything into it.

Still, it's highly unusual. A data book for a series that isn't all that popular in America and with information far in advance of the American anime and manga releases. They probably just copied all their info from Wikipedia.

I see no illustrations. I bet this book is unauthorized. Nice reference book though, I guess, maybe still worth it. wtf is with the alphabet soup layout?

I think it means leader as in someone who is overly powerful. It also says he is reliable to his BOSS Spandam. So he's a powerful leader, but he is ruled by a boss.

It doesn't seem like the information is anything different from what you could infer just by reading scanlations or watching subbed anime. This might be an interesting read if you want to refresh your memory about who someone is/read up on a certain event that you might not be 100% clear on, but other than that, it doesn't seem terribly interesting.

It may be a fascinating source of spoilers for people who only read/watch officially translated material, however.

But it's still accurate. I had to buy it because it would be like an info book to unclog my memories or remind myself of forgotten characters. ( I'm always up-to-date) It is freaky that it's in America, but don't complain XD. At least we HAVE something like this.

Oh, I saw that at Walden Books! It looks really nice, but it has a lot of mistakes (refering to characters with names of other characters, spelling errors), but other than those mistakes, it seems to be really interesting, lots of information.

I have to agree, I don't think it's really sticky-worthy. If the threads about the OP "Red," "Blue," "Yellow," and "Rainbow" weren't stickied, why sticky another (unofficial, even) databook?

Woah! I only read the One Piece Red and Blue, but what are Yellow and Rainbow? (Did a lot of book shopping when I was in France) And i'm sorry for being so forceful. I apologize.

                                            @Necronomicon:

It looks really nice, but it has a lot of mistakes (refering to characters with names of other characters, spelling errors), but other than those mistakes, it seems to be really interesting, lots of information.

It is interesting reading (I own the book), but it really is riddled with inaccuracies, and the two authors take great liberties with their interpretation of the manga/anime. Perhaps some of these things (like Ace and Luffy below) have been discussed by Oda, but I've just missed it?? I'll just pull a out a few random things (some summarized and others direct quotes):

Robin's bounty is mentioned as 79 million in one section and 7900 in another.
States Luffy's bounty is 30 million since "the beginning".
Alludes to the fact that Luffy and Ace are not really brothers.
Calls the Shichibukai "representatives of the pirates"
States that Zoro was in Shelltown for the purpose of killing Helmeppo's pet wolf.
"…Masira, and his brother Shojo, were both big fans of the comic book Liar Norland and adored the main character, Norland's descendant Montblanc Cricket"

If someone is looking for truly accurate info you might want to pass this book by.

Ah memories of Pojo and the Dragon Ball Z Collector. Beckett was so good to me back in the day.

                                                @Kitanokokoro:

I actually found the book, and this made me laugh.

Fukurou spilled the news about Jyabura being dumped by "the office boy, Gyasarin".

Some of those things, manly the descriptions of the DF's, seem like carbon copies of the ones on wikipedia,
right down to the ''clean and shiny'' remark about the Awa Awa No Mi.
And even then, wikipedia is a pretty shitty source to copy from.

Sorry, but why buy this when there are even more comprehensible guides (that are fairly easy to find, at that) floating around on the web?

I purchased mine off Amazon (OP items are hard to come by where I live) so I didn't have a chance to preview it first. In hindsight it was a fairly silly purchase since, like you said, there are very comprehensive online guides. I thought it would be a nice addition to my OP collection, plus I thought it would be a handy little reference book, similar to the data books but in English. Uh…not so much...

The entry on the Zou Zou no Mi is hillariously wrong.

I would probably buy it if I could simply cause it's One Piece…but my thoughts are exactly with the others in this thread.

It'd be nice if we eventually get official translations of the data books released here.
