Which is better to use in terms of downloads,memory,etc.
Questions:
1.Can you download Java,Flash,Etc. on Notebooks/laptops
2.Can you install games on laptops?
3.will internet games work on Laptops(maple story,Pogo)
4. in terms of Battery/Power life,which lasts longer?
Laptops will generally do most things a desktop will… but:
-3D gaming tends to be a weak suit unless you explicitly buy a laptop with a gaming video chip.
-You'll pay way more per unit performance
-You'll have to suffer through a laptop's traditionally weak screen and keyboard, unless you want to drag substitutes with you.
My personal preference (what I did at university): small laptop for where a portable box makes sense, big desktop for serious stuff.

You never know…you can't charge and carry around a desktop obviously.
They're basically the same, the only major difference is one is portable and the things b1b mentioned. If you want a portable device, get a laptop. If you basically want to keep something on your desk, get a desktop. It's easier modifying desktops too, imo.
