Something very interesting happened

I was thinking about starting some threads for quite some time but never got around to do it so here goes my first one. In this thread you tell us about some really awesome things that happened to your life. Things you never imagined you'd be able to do. For me, three really cool things were

1. Going to Sweden.

2 Shaking hands with a Nobel Peace Prize winner.

3. Visiting the grave of the dude who made the biological classification system (Linneaus) exactly on his 300th death day.

4. Seeing the Vatican (but not actually being able to go inside it>.> Damn queue><)

5. Going on a week long cruise of the Mediterranean.

That's all I can think of. Anyone have anymore? PS I hope there isn't a thread about this already because that would just suck seeing as it's my first>.>

Winning a 1000 people poker tournament was pretty cool as I'd hardly ever played poker for real and not on the internet.

Going to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Washington, DC was pretty cool. Going to the top of the Sears Tower in Chicago. I took a cruise were we stopped in Mexico. I guess nothing as awesome as some of things that you other guys did, but hey, I'm only 15 .

Having Karl Malone give me his wristbands that he wore for the Utah Jazz vs Denver Nuggets game that night. That was really awesome.

Going down on the Pepsi Center floor NCAA tournment for a put on really huge clothes basketball contest thingy. It's hard to explain, but they did it at have time for the CSU vs some other NCAA basketball team, and I got chosen to particpate. Pretty cool stuff.

That's it so far really.

I've been rather boring, I fear. The most interesting thing I've done that I can remember off the top of my head is:
I went to a Laker game when I was in sixth grade. We weren't on the floor, but we had a direct view of the court and were only two or three rows FROM the floor. When my friend's parents went off to get snacks during halftime, we started dancing like total idiots to get on the big TV. It worked well XD.

And I didn't have to pay a thing, btw. The tickets were free~!

Winning a state-wide fencing tournament. At the time, it seemed like a great accomplishment, especially after beating a bunch of huge Samoans. Ugh.
Being on the local news when recycling first came to Hawaii. Normally this wouldn't be much to me, but it is considering they spent 15 minutes on me and the rest of my family.

-I met Tracy McGrady at one of his games a couple of years ago. He's my favorite basketball player so I was shocked when he started speaking to me.

Pretty cool stuff and glad to see that some really cool mebers are posting on this thread. However, there's still nothing that beats shaking hands with a Nobel Prize Winner^^ I took a picture with him too^^ XD don't mean to bash you guys. Just wanted to encourage other members to come out with some really cool stuff. Of course anything and everything is accepted here so long as it was something that definitely doesn't happen to the average person.

Went to Washington D.C. and saw some cool things, a few years ago. One of the souveneirs (sp) I bought was a United States Air Force hat from the Smithsonian (sp again). It must be hanging on the coat hook in the kitchen, somewhere.
I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. A few of my fond memories are neighbors coming over to play the NES, seeing mountains, and getting poked by a cactus for the first time. I thought that cactus would be fuzzy to touch until I learned the hard way.

My family moved back to their homestate when I was a toddler.

One time I accidentally blew up two test tubes and a flat piece of cobalt glass in the span of about ten minutes.

the only thing that really stands out is I have a Signed Doug Gilmour Assitant Captain Jersery (Leafs) that I got signed back when I was was younger while at Octoberfest (I was wearing the jersery at the time)

Was a gideon. Our bat.com got an injury IN THE PRACTICALS (National), got to command the entire company for the entire fancy drill episode as a substitute…..And won first place!! . Won first place in my fancy drills holding rifle too!!

Oh yeah, at AX two years ago I won a raffle, and got to have a personalized autograph from CLAMP. There were only like 200 or so winners :p. The picture drawn on a thick piece of poster board. It's so cool x3.

The main artist (Mokona) thought my hair was cute. I didn't even do anything to it, I just wore it like how I normally do. Short and curly xD. I about died when I heard her say 'kawaii' while gesturing to her hair. The translator was laughing at me when I turned pink. I got some glares from other people there too XD.

No offense but that dude in the white shirt next to you in that pic looked like he needed a couple of posing lessons lol XD I mean I just find his expression hilarious!!! Anyway, out of curiostiy, has anyone in this thread ever met Oda-Sensei? Or at least saw him in real life even if it was during a huge event where you were pushing through a crowd?

Ah yes. When I lived in Hawaii a year or so ago. A lost episode was shot literally right next to my house. They even used our electricity to power one of their trailers. I got a coffee mug out of it though.
