That really wasn't an issue until they got to the 2nd half. Then it just gets corny and goes straight to hell.

totally agree, but IMO the way they handle this is really good. They Intentionally steer away from giving them tights and things of that sort, and they may not entirely avoid the whole angsty teenager thing, but its done with class XD

^Umm well I started Vol. 2 recently (Victor's badass and prob. my fav. right now), but if that starts later in the series then I may drop the series.
