I am late. But man, does ol' Bart come off levelheaded and wise. That two-page spread is golden. Now we know why he got the size-boost. It wouldn't have looked as amazing if he couldn't meet Moria eye-to-eye.

I really wish we could've seen (or see a flashback) the Shichibukai gang together when Crocodile was still around. Like them all mingling at an office party or something equally mundane.

So Moria will be either taken down of two ways: The Straw Hats band together to defeat him after Odz[!] or Luffy manages to rejoin them after his shadow is restored and Moria is in the midst of tearing into the crew with all the bitterness of a fat man who has been forced off a very comfortable couch to take out the trash. (Hoping for the latter.)

I highly doubt all seven of the Shichibukai have ever been together at any time. Best we can hope for is after we see Jimbei and the last one; Oda will make a colorspread or something showing all of the original seven together. Personally I'd love to see that.

I think we might see some difficulty even with zoro against oz, the salt might not work (right now) but sooner or later gear 3 will wipe out most of oz strengh.

Well, I will actually miss Odz like I've never done with any other secondary character…

He was like the Dumb Putrefact Giant Mecha-Hybrid that we never had as the main character of the Manga...

BUT...

What if Luffy stays inside of Odz forever and becomes the Pirate King with the Ultimate Mecha-Zombie?! :D

I know it's retarded, but there's at least a logical way for Luffy and Odz to become the best of the friends without the thing of Luffy's shadow getting in the way; anyways, I wonder if THAT was Moria's original plan, and more importantly, if Odz has a bathroom included...

Too predictable. After Zoro's quote of Luffy not being able to underestimate the strength of his crew, I really want the crew to take on Oz

After them depending on Luffy to defeat the strong characters I want them to now that he's confused.

Maybe he'll decide that he needs to be smarter to help his crew…

HEY! I see a sad thing happening at the end of this arc. Basically Oz and Luffy meet they have a good laugh and at the end Luffy will have to decide whether or not to finish Moria off or not because if he beats Moria then Oz will be purify.

Simply put;

Oz becomes a nice guy with Luffy's shadow in him with Luffy
Oz's real spirit has a "Cindry Moment" and is tearing up because he never had a friend as nice as Luffy before(or ever)
Oz betrays Moria, Moria get pissed and purifies Oz himself and Luffy gets pissed off and beats the crap out of Moria.
Oz is gone Luffy is sad and Thriller Bark ends.

About spoilers, they'll come when they come. If they come on thursday, Sweet! That'd be a great 17th birthday present for me. ^_^ Really hoping that there's a chapter this week. Since Akamatsu-sensei is taking a break, I don't know how I would stand it if Shonen Jump also took a break. That'd mean, gasp A manga free week! The horror!

Well ok I wouldn't go as far as saying its completely One Piece-ish. I just see a huge thing happening where everyone ends up feeling sad for Oz for being dead and lonely for years.

Then Luffy comes along and get along with him and Moria kills him for not taking orders. I can see it being an emotional moment.

I don't know if this was mentioned but does anyone remember the discussion between Kuma and Moria concerning the Balance of the world? Well, Moria asks Kuma since the empty hole in the Shichibukai is filled that should bring balance back into the world, but Kuma responds with a "NO" He then goes on to state that the situation would be the "opposite!" Now, (Roll out the red carpet) the question I have for you lot is….....

WHAT HAPPENED BETWEEN WHITEBEARD AND RED-HAIRED SHANKS??

Well I think when Kuma mentions that it's the opposite, I think he's talking about Blackbeard himself. What he went there to discuss in the first place is Blackbeard's status now as a Shichibukai. It only makes sense that what he's talking about be about him. Kuma probably has a hunch that Blackbeard isn't all that he seems.I mean if an unknown with no bounty at all like Blackbeard comes out, and all of a sudden takes out Whitebeard's second division commander; you've got to be a little curious as to why he'd hide himself for so long. I think sgamer82 already had the quote, but I'll post it again:

Agree about G3. Defeating Ohz without Luffy seems as well weird.
I think Oda will keep on going with the joint SH's fight with Luffy coming to help for the final strike. Moria was well scared of the use of salt on Ohz, so we might speculate that Usop's salt ball was not enough. With Brook's coming into the fight salt is a good chance for the SH (of course they need to throw it into is mouth).

the mugiwaras would have to force Ohz mouth open while limiting his movement for someone to throw the salt into him…...
It would be a joke if Moria suddenly found himself surrounded by the mugiwaras...... or Moria does the beatdown on the mugiwaras before Luffy arrives......

I'm guessing that the crew would defeat Oz, but be left barely standing. Then Luffy finally finds his way and beats the crap outta Moria. Or something along those lines. Now that seems more One Piece-ish to me.

Hmm.. Kuso IX Kuso, I'm guessing that will be less likely to happen. The thing with Cindry worked because she was a majorly kind-hearted soul in the first place, and the will that stayed in her body after her death sort of "took over" the shadow placed in her. But Oz, on the other hand, was some legendary demon criminal lord from some frozen island. I don't think appeal to emotions would work well against him. Even so, Luffy's will is probably too powerful to be talked into, and that will is under Moria's control. In other words, my opinion is that they'd probably have to tank it out with Oz.

But that's just my opinion; you don't have to agree.

I wonder what happened between Shanks and Whitebeard too. I can't imagine either of them dying, so I think they probably stopped to talk it out or something.

Moria has to order the shadows to return to their original owners.

As kingoffans say makeing Moria give the order rescues everyone he has stolen shadows from, while just beating Odz, Jigorou and Dog-penguine will only save Luffy, Zoro and Sanji.

sorry, i meant "uncle" figuratively speaking. i read from a scanlation awhile ago, moria says even if a zombie is purified the shadows arent truly restored until he gives the official order. i got muddled i suppose when brook got his shadow back at his feet. and from what zoro sez apparently if they purify oz luffy gets to fight during the day, so what aspects of the shadow isnt "fully" restored? i guess this was my question, but its not that important as in one piece the ends dont need to be justified by the means. i just like to know technicalities

That scanlation got it wrong in that case. A purified shadow returns to the original owner, not to Moria.
